Day 1 : Catania – Arrival
Upon arrival at the Catania airport, pick up your rental car and drive to your hotel. The rest of the day is at leisure.
Day 2 : Explore Catania
Join your half-day private walking tour of Catania. You will visit the historical Benedictine convent and Roman house, the roof garden and the cloisters. You will have a free afternoon to visit the Piazza Duomo, the Fontana dell’Elefante, and stroll down the prestigious Via Etnea Avenue. (B)
Day 3 : Catania – Val di Noto – Modica – Ragusa
Drive to Val di Noto and Modica, one of the most beautiful Baroque towns in Sicily and famous for its delicious traditional chocolate. Visit the magnificent churches and the old Bonajuto Chocolate Factory. You will spend the night in the Ragusa area. (B)
Day 4 : Explore the Ragusa area
Visit the Gli Aromi Garden, famous for its cultivation of quality herbs, and experience day-to-day Mediterranean rural life in a cooking class at the greenhouse. Drive to Ragusa Ibla in the afternoon, a most charming baroque village complete with a beautiful cathedral and tranquil gardens. (B,L)
Day 5 : Ragusa – Noto – Siracusa
Drive to Noto, where you will marvel at its imposing cathedral and relax in its elegant corso with a refreshing “granita” in hand. You will overnight in Siracusa. (B)
Day 6 : Explore Siracusa
Spend the day visiting the ancient city of Siracusa. Enjoy a stroll in tiny but memorable Ortigia with its winding alleys, baroque palaces, and churches. Visit the archaeological site, with its famous ancient theater. In the afternoon, drink in the Mediterranean ambiance in a wine tasting session at the Pupillo Cellars, on the outskirts of the city. Day 7 : Catania – Return
Drive to the Catania airport and drop off your rental car before for your return flight home. (B)
