Daily Itinerary


Day 1: Venice – Arrival

Upon arrival, you will be met and transferred to your hotel. The remainder of the day is free to explore the "Floating City".

Day 2: Explore Venice

This morning, join your tour of Venice. First, you will seek out the Floating City’s most sought after sights on foot, enjoying skip-the-line entry to the spectacular St. Mark’s Basilica, as well as special access to the Basilica’s terrace. You will also explore some lesser-known corners of the city where the essence of Venetian living is writ large, before hitting the canals for that most quintessential of Venetian experiences, an unforgettable gondola ride to explore the city’s beauty from the water. The afternoon is at leisure or consider joining a tour to Murano, Burano, and Torcello. (B)

Day 3: Venice – Florence

After breakfast, make your own way to the train station to board your train to Florence. Upon arrival in Florence, you will be transferred to your hotel. The remainder of the day is at leisure in this Renaissance jewel. (B)

Day 4: Explore Florence

Explore the historic and architectural wonders of Florence. During your morning walking tour, you will see Piazza della Signoria with the town hall Palazzo Vecchio, the Duomo, the Baptistery with its Gates of Paradise, Giotto's independent bell tower, Brunelleschi's Dome, Santa Trinita and Orsanmichele Church, Pontevecchio Bridge and the secret Vasari Corridor, as well as famous shopping streets and the Oltrarno, the fourth and last district, the manual crafts neighborhood. The afternoon is at leisure or consider joining an optional tour of the Uffizi Gallery. (B)

Day 5: Florence – Rome

After breakfast, make your own way to the train station to board your train to Venice. Upon arrival, you will be transferred to your hotel. The remainder of the day is free to enjoy the “Eternal City”. (B)

Day 6: Explore Rome

This morning, enjoy a small group tour of Rome. Your tour will begin atop Colle Oppio with a panoramic view of the Colosseum, one of Ancient Rome's most vital social centers. From there, descend to the Colosseum. Once inside, an expert guide will talk you through the bloody past of the amphitheater as you listen to tales of gladiators, mock sea-battles and executions. After a brief rest at the Arch of Constantine, you will arrive at the Palatine Hill, the most famous of the Seven Hills of Rome. In the evening, consider joining a stroll around the Trastevere neighborhood followed by dinner. (B)

Day 7: Rome at Leisure

Enjoy a full day at leisure in Rome. Take advantage of shopping, dining, or join an optional sightseeing tour to Pompeii and Mount Vesuvius. (B)

Day 8: Rome – Return

Make your own way to the Rome airport for your return flight home. (B)
