Marmaris is located on a natural harbor and this once quiet fishing village has grown into a popular cosmopolitan sea resort. The city has many fine areas for sunbathing, swimming and sailing plus excellent restaurants and clubs, making it exciting both day and night. One can still see the lifestyles of the past when traveling through the town where local merchants sell leather goods, textiles and other wares in the winding, cobblestone streets. Here one can also take the ferry from the port and tour the famous Greek island of Rhodes.
