Enjoy a relaxing overnight flight to Dubrovnik.

Upon arrival, you will be met and transferred to your hotel. (Your arrival transfer is included only if you arrive on the actual day the tour commences. Enjoy a walking tour of Old Dubrovnik including the Rector’s Palace, Bell Tower Clock, Orlando’s Column and the Sponza Palace. You will also see the Dominican and Franciscan Monasteries. See the monastery pharmacy, which is one of the oldest in the world. The afternoon is at your leisure. (B)

Travel to the Republic of Montenegro. Head to the mouth of the beautiful Bay of Kotor, the longest and deepest fjord in Southern Europe. Enjoy a boat ride to Our Lady of the Rocks, one of two islets off the coast of Perast. The Roman Catholic Church is the largest building on the islet, with a museum attached to it. Upon return to the coast, we will stop in Perast, an old charming coastal town. Visit city of Kotor before returning to Dubrovnik. Your evening is free to enjoy your way. (B)

Next, we will travel north along the spectacular Adriatic Coast to Split. Enjoy a city tour including the palace of the Roman emperor Diocletian. You will see the remnants of Split’s Roman heritage, Jupiter’s Temple, the Peristyle, and the Cathedral. (B,D)

Depart for Trogir, the center of artistic activities, where scholars from around the world gather to study and paint. We will then continue to Plitvice Lakes National Park to overnight. (B,D)

Today we will take part in a walking tour of this UNESCO World Heritage Site. Enjoy the breathtaking scenery and natural beauty of 16 terraced lakes surrounded by wooded mountains. (B,D)

Following the coast, stop at Opatija for an orientation tour of this former imperial resort city. Drive into Slovenia for a visit of Postojna Cave, one of the largest caves in Europe. Continue to Ljubljana. (B,D)

A morning sightseeing tour of Ljubljana takes in views of the open-air Central Market, Baroque Town Hall, Robba's Fountain, the Three Bridges, and the Parliament. Then journey to the Alpine city of Bled, where you'll take in the enticing town, striking lakeshore, and impressive Bled Castle, perched on a cliff high above the lake. Return to Ljubljana for a free evening. (B)

Today we will drive south to Italy and Trieste for an orientation tour including a visit to Miramare Castle. The castle was built by the Habsburg Monarchy and sits on a cliff overlooking the Adriatic Sea. After your visit, continue on to the romantic city of Venice. (B)

This morning, take part in a walking tour of Venice, which includes the most important highlights of this magical city. Then visit a glassblowing factory and watch a master artisan demonstrate this traditional Venetian art. Tonight enjoy a farewell dinner at a local restaurant. (B,D)

After breakfast you will be transferred to the Venice airport for your return flight home. (Your departure transfer is included only if you depart on the actual day the tour concludes.
