Clothing Suggestions   SUMMER: Late June to early August – is when the weather is warmest and the days are long and bright. Temperatures in July and August can reach 80°F - 85°F. At the same time there is hardly any humidity in the air. Casual clothing made of lightweight fabrics and good walking shoes are essential. A shawl, sweater and/or jacket is recommended for cooler evening breezes (depending on temperature of the day and visiting location in Norway). There can also be sudden rain, so a small travel umbrella would be useful. WINTER: October to May – During winter, an overcoat, hat, gloves and scarf will protect you from much of the wet and wind. For extra measure, waterproof your winter jacket or purchase a garment that is made of watertight fabric. SPRING/FALL: May to mid-June and September- The weather in spring and fall can be very varied. There may be days when it is cold enough to snow, and days when it is warm enough to sit outside in the sunshine. Therefore, wearing multiple layers is recommended. Spring months can also be very windy. DINING: Informal attire, except for some selected restaurants, which require a jacket and tie for men. CRUISES: Casual daytime attire is suggested. For occasional special gala evenings cocktail dress and tie and jacket are suggested.
