This morning enjoy a private scenic tour of Quito explaining the culture, history, and heritage of the city. Included in your tour is a walk around Independence Plaza, a visit to the temple of La Compania de Jesus, and the Monastery of San Francisco. (B)

Embark on a three day journey along the Avenue of the Volcanoes from Quito to beautiful Cuenca in the south. Along the way you will visit an Andean market and Cotopaxi National Park. After lunch continue to Riobamba for overnight. (B,L,D)

First Class: Santa Lucia or similar accommodations

Early morning transfer by car to Alausi where you board the train for a thrilling ride to the newly renovated Sibambe Station. Here you will visit the local museum before returning to Alausi for lunch. You will continue by car to Cuenca. (B,L,D)

This day is devoted to Cuenca with its red-tiled roofs, cobblestone streets, and flowery plazas. Your visit includes a colorful market, the Museum of Modern Art, and the local cathedral. After lunch you will be transferred to the airport for your flight to Guayaquil (included). (B,L)
