Enjoy a relaxing overnight flight to Rome.

After breakfast, enjoy a unique guided sightseeing tour, including highlights of religious and ancient Rome: the Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel with Michelangelo's ceiling paintings and The Last Judgment, monumental St. Peter's Square and the Basilica to admire Michelangelo's Pieta. Admire the amazing Coliseum (outside) and the Roman Forum (outside). To make the most of your stay, join an optional Rome by Night excursion. (B)

Drive to Siena and join a walking tour of the city to admire the Dome (outside), the magnificent square known as Il Campo, where twice a year the Palio race is run on bareback horses. Late in the afternoon you will arrive in Florence. A stop is planned at Michelangelo’s Square for a first photo opportunity. Overnight in Florence. (B)

Today enjoy a guided tour of Florence including the Cathedral (outside), Giotto’s Bell Tower (outside), the doors of the Baptistery, Piazza della Signoria, the Church of Santa Croce, the sanctuary of many famous Italian artists. After lunch at a local restaurant, consider an optional tour to Pisa to admire the Leaning Tower (outside). Overnight in Florence. (B,L)

After breakfast depart for Venice. Upon arrival enjoy a guided tour of this unique and romantic city. Strolling through the ancient “calli” (the narrow streets of Venice) you will reach the Rialto Bridge (outside) and St-Mark’s Square with the impressive Basilica (outside). (B)

After breakfast depart for San Marino. Dinner and overnight. (B,D)

After breakfast leave for Assisi. Visit the great Basilica with its magnificent paintings by Giotto. Continue to Rome, driving through Umbria, the Green Heart of Italy. Arrival in Rome in the late afternoon. Special dinner in a typical Roman restaurant. Overnight at hotel near the Airport. (B,D)

After breakfast depart to the Sorrentine Peninsula. Visit a cameo factory before arriving in Pompeii where you will have time for lunch on your own. Enjoy a guided tour of the excavations of the ancient city destroyed by the eruption of Vesuvius in 79 AD. In the afternoon proceed to Sorrento. Dinner and overnight. (B,D)

After breakfast, transfer to the harbor and cross to the Isle of Capri, famous since Roman times and a favorite vacation spot of the Emperor Tiberius. Arrive at the port of Marina Grande and take the funicular up to La Piazzetta. Time to explore the island on your own. Return to Sorrento where you’ll enjoy a tasting of “Limoncello”, the liquor made from the fragrant lemon of the Sorrentine Area. Dinner and overnight. (B,D)

Free time this morning to explore Sorrento before you depart for Rome around noon. (B)
