Zurich – Arrival

First Class: Swissotel Zurich or similar accommodations

Upon your arrival in Zurich, you will be transferred to your hotel. (Your arrival transfer is included only if you arrive on the actual day the tour commences. For customers arriving earlier an individual transfer can be organized at an additional cost.) The rest of the day is at leisure.

Explore Zurich

First Class: Swissotel Zurich or similar accommodations

In the morning, enjoy a sightseeing tour of Zurich and its main monuments. Take in the fabulous views of the Alps and Lake Zurich from the Höhenstrasse. You will briefly stop in Rapperswil, the quaint City of Roses. On your way back to Zurich, enjoy a lovely cruise on Lake Zurich. Arrive at Zurich-Bürkliplatz and make your own way back to the hotel. (B)

Zurich – Lucerne – Mount Titlis – Interlaken

First Class: Hotel Interlaken or similar accommodations

After breakfast, depart for Lucerne. Enjoy a short sightseeing tour and have some free time to explore Lucerne on your own. At noon, continue to Engelberg where you will take a cable car to the top of Mount Titlis and its spectacular glacier. Enjoy spectacular views of the Central Alps from an elevation of 9,875 ft. In the afternoon, visit the lakeside town of Brienz and see talented woodcarving artisans at work. Continue to Interlaken, located at the foot of Mount Jungfrau. (B)

Interlaken – Berne – Gruyeres – Geneva

First Class: Ramada Encore Geneva or similar accommodations

After breakfast, depart Interlaken and drive along Lake Thun to Berne, located on the Aare River. Enjoy a sightseeing tour of the city before continuing to Gruyeres, a picturesque village with an impressive medieval castle. Arrive in Geneva in late afternoon. (B)

Geneva – Montreux – Zermatt

First Class: Hotel Alex Zermatt or similar accommodations

In the morning, enjoy a sightseeing tour of Geneva and visit the beautiful parks along the lake, the cathedral, and the European headquarters of the UN. Travel to Lausanne and Montreux with its magnificent Chillon Castle. In the afternoon, you will explore the Rodano River Valley. Take a narrow gauge train from Täsch to Zermatt, nestled at the foot of mighty Mount Matterhorn. (B,D)

Zermatt – Nufenen Pass – Zurich

First Class: Swissotel Zurich or similar accommodations

Enjoy a morning at leisure to explore Zermatt or consider joining an optional excursion to the top of Mount Gornergrat. In the afternoon, return to Täsch by train where you will board your bus for a spectacular drive over the high Nufenen mountain pass to Airolo. Arrive in Zurich in the early evening. (B)
