Upon arrival, you will be met, assisted through customs and immigration, and transferred to your hotel.

Today, enjoy a panoramic city tour of Amman including the amphitheater and the citadel. Continue to the Desert Castle of Azrak. Next, visit the 8th century Omayyad Castles of Amra and Kharaneh. Ardent hunters, the Omayyads used the castles as lodges for their hunting parties. Return to your hotel in Amman for a short rest. In the evening you will be taken to Kan Zaman Village for dinner. This is unique Ottoman village is one of Amman's favorite places for dining. (B,L,D)

After breakfast, drive to the mighty Crusaders' Castle Of Ajlun (Qalat Rabadh). This is an Islamic castle built high on a hill overlooking the entire Jordan Valley below. Continue through pine forests and olive groves until you reach the ancient Greco Roman city of Jerash. Enjoy a tour through the colonnaded streets and see the amphitheater, churches, temples and the vast Roman Forum. (B,L)

After breakfast, depart for Madaba which has some of the finest Byzantine mosaics in the world including the famous 6th century mosaic map of Palestine. Climb Mt. Nebo where Moses viewed the Promised Land. Visit Kerak Castle, the largest late Islamic castle in Jordan. Continue to Petra. (B,L)

Today, enjoy a full-day tour of the Red Rose City. You will begin your unforgettable trip by foot until you reach the treasury. Among other monuments you will see Pharaoh's Castle, the Triumphal Arch, the amphitheater, and monastery. (B,L)

After breakfast, drive to little Petra (Al-Beidah). The ruins of this ancient village date back some 9,000 years. It is one of the oldest archaeological sites in the Middle East. Continue your tour to Wadi Rum, a vast, silent landscape of ancient, pastel-colored riverbeds, the largest and the most magnificent of Jordan's deserts. Take a 2-hour 4x4 vehicle ride into the oasis with its awesome moon-like landscape, crisscrossed with countless valleys of stunning beauty. A Bedouin-style lunch is included in your program. Continue your trip to the lowest point on Earth, the Dead Sea which is 1,300 ft below sea level. At the Dead Sea beach and pool you will have a chance to try and swim in the buoyant waters, or cover yourself in mud which is said to restore your health and beauty. (B,L)
