Day 2: Rim of the World — Arusha to Ngorongoro

Following breakfast and a thorough safari briefing, a private 4x4 safari vehicle carries you toward the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, arriving at the lodge in time for lunch. An early departure carries you down to the floor of the Ngorongoro Crater, one of Africa's most extraordinary wildlife arenas. Departing Ngorongoro, the journey continues toward Serengeti National Park, with a stop at Olduvai Gorge, the site of several landmark archaeological discoveries by the Leakey family, alongside a small museum displaying artifacts found there. Arriving at the lodge in time for lunch, the afternoon brings a game drive across the Serengeti's vast golden grassland, home to the Big Five alongside cheetah, hyena, and the great herds of the annual migration.
