Arrival - Aswan

Welcome to Aswan! Upon arrival at Aswan International Airport, you will be met by your private driver and will be driven approximately 35 minutes to the accomomdation of your choice. The remainder of the day is at your leisure.

Aswan

Start your day with a visit to the magnificent Abu Simbel Temples, located about 280 kilometers south of Aswan. These ancient temples are a UNESCO World Heritage Site and are known for their impressive rock-cut structures. Return to Aswan and explore the Philae Temple by taking a boat ride to Philae Island on the Nile and visit this beautiful temple dedicated to the goddess Isis. The temple was relocated to its current location after the construction of the Aswan High Dam. In the evening enjoy a relaxing walk along the Nile Corniche, the waterfront promenade in Aswan. You can find several cafes and restaurants where you can unwind and enjoy the scenic views of the river.

Today consider visiting the Nubian Villages with a private guide. Sail to the bottom of Elephantine Island and explore the vibrant Nubian Villages of Siou and Koti. These colorful villages are nestled in the heart of the Nile River and offer a glimpse into the traditional Nubian way of life. Take a leisurely stroll through the shady alleys and gardens and interact with the friendly locals. The Nubian Museum in Aswan provides further insights into the history and heritage of the Nubian people. Other options include visiting the Aswan High Dam, a remarkable engineering feat, and is worth a visit. This modern structure transformed the Nile River and helped control its annual flooding. The dam offers beautiful panoramic views.
