1

Athens – Arrival

First Class: Electra Athens or similar accommodations

Superior Tourist Class: Athenaeum Grand or similar accommodations

Upon arrival in Athens, you will be met and transferred to your hotel. The remainder of the day is at leisure to explore this historical city. Discover Plaka, the oldest district of Athens, located under the Acropolis. It is the only district you may see that looks like it did 100 years ago. You may also want to spend some time shopping in Kolonaki or along Ermou and Voukourestiou streets.

Explore Athens

First Class: Electra Athens or similar accommodations

This morning, join your walking tour of Athens. The tour begins in front of the Parliament in Syntagma Square where you will see the Monument of the Unknown Soldier and the change of the famous Guards. A pleasant walk will follow through the National Garden and on to the Zappeion Hall, the Temple of Olympian Zeus, and Hadrian's Arch. From here, you will enter the Plaka area heading to the Acropolis and visit the Propylaea, the Temple of Nike, and the Parthenon, the monuments that remind us of the Glory of Ancient Athens and the Golden Age of Pericles. See also in the surrounding area the Athenian Agora, the Observatory, the Hill of Democracy (Pnyx), Mars and Philoppapos Hill, the Odeon of Herodes Atticus, and the Theater of Dionysus. At the end of the tour, and since you are so close, do not miss the opportunity to visit on your own the New Acropolis Museum included in your program. (B)

Athens – Mykonos

First Class: Porto Mykonos or similar accommodations

Early in the morning, make your own way to the port of Piraeus to board your ferry to Mykonos. Upon arrival, you will be transferred to your hotel. The rest of the day is at leisure. (B)

Mykonos – Delos

First Class: Porto Mykonos or similar accommodations

After breakfast, join your half-day excursion to Delos. Delos is a small island situated in the center of the Cyclades, a few miles southwest of Mykonos. It is one of the most important archaeological sites of the Eastern Mediterranean and is the birth place of Apollo, the god of light; and Artemis, the goddess of hunting (both children of Lito and Zeus). The excavations of Delos started in 1873 and are still being carried out today by the French School of Archaeology. After a guided tour, you will have free time to visit the museum on your own. (B)

Mykonos at Leisure

Spend a day at leisure in Mykonos. Enjoy the beautiful beaches of the island or consider joining an optional tour. (B)

Mykonos – Santorini

First Class: Aperanto Suites or similar accommodations

Around noon, make your own way to the port to board your ferry to Santorini. Upon arrival, you will be transferred to your hotel. Santorini is a volcanic island, known worldwide as the most romantic island. This afternoon, explore the village on your own, walking along cobble-stoned streets and past white washed houses with blue shutters. (B)

Santorini Caldera & Volcano Cruise

First Class: Aperanto Suites or similar accommodations

Today, explore the magic world of the Santorini's volcanic formations. The bus will pick you up from your village’s meeting point and will drive you to Athinios port for embarkation. Your first destination will be Nea Kameni Island - the volcano of Santorini! There, you will have the unique experience of climbing on top of the volcano, see and take photos of the active crater, and walk on its rims! Your next destination will Palia Kameni Island for swimming in the hot springs created by the volcano’s underwater power! Continue to Thirasia Island where you can eat in the small traditional taverns, swim in the crystalline waters, or visit the village of Manolas on the top of Thirasia and enjoy the view! (B)

Santorini at Leisure

First Class: Aperanto Suites or similar accommodations

Superior Tourist Class: Selini or similar accommodations

Today, you will have a free day to explore Santorini on your own. You may want to visit the important archaeological site at Akrotiri or take a sunset cruise. (B)

Santorini – Return

Make your own way to the Santorini airport for your return flight home. (B)
