This 7-day immersive food tour will take you through the country’s most delicious regions, from coastal seafood feasts to the heart of Colombia’s coffee and cacao culture, all while exploring vibrant cities and breathtaking landscapes.
The Colombian Culinary Explorer package includes visits to Bogotá, Medellín, and Cartagena. You will spend 2 nights in each city, allowing you to explore the culinary delights and cultural experiences each location has to offer.
The package includes private driver/guide services as per the itinerary, 24-hour emergency assistance, private arrival and departure transfers, accommodations of your choice, and sightseeing tours and activities of your choice.
Items of a personal nature, travel insurance, and gratuities for drivers, guides, and escorts are not included in the package. It is recommended to inquire with your travel consultant for travel insurance options.
Travelers will fly between Bogotá and Medellín, and then from Medellín to Cartagena, ensuring a smooth transition between these vibrant cities as they explore Colombia's diverse culinary landscape.
In Bogotá, you'll enjoy a street food tour in La Candelaria, sample traditional dishes like arepas and ajiaco, explore the Paloquemao Market, and dine at the Michelin-starred restaurant Leo, all highlighting the rich Andean flavors.
In Medellín, you can visit Mercado del Río, partake in a private cooking class, explore Plaza Minorista, and engage in a full-day cocoa workshop that delves into Colombia’s rich chocolate heritage.
In Cartagena, you'll explore the Bazurto Market, participate in a cooking class with a Palenquera chef, enjoy a rum and chocolate tasting, and embark on a private boat trip to Barú or the Rosario Islands for a beachfront seafood feast.
