Public Transport

TransLink operates throughout the city, running from the northern beaches to the southern suburbs via the CBD. Daily, weekly and monthly passes are available as a series of zonal tickets, allowing unlimited travel in defined areas. There are also private bus lines that operate in areas like Port Douglas, Mossman, Kuranda, the Atherton Tablelands and Mission Beach. You can either buy a Go Card or just paper tickets. Go Cards can be bought online, at 7-Eleven stores and selected retailers including busway stations.
