Enjoy a relaxing overnight flight to Cairo.

Cairo - Arrival - Aswan

You will be greeted upon arrival at Cairo airport and transferred to the domestic terminal for your flight to Aswan. Upon arrival in Aswan, you will be met and transferred to your docked cruise ship. The remainder of the day is at leisure to explore Aswan. (D)

You will disembark your cruise ship after breakfast and will be transferred to the airplort for your flight to Cairo. Upon arrival you will be met and transferred to your hotel. In the afternoon, you will visit the Great Pyramids of Cheops, Chefren and Mykerinos and their guardian Sphinx in Giza. At the end of your tour, you will have the option of visiting the Giza Solar boat museum dedicated to the reconstructed Khufu solar ship. (B)

Enjoy a free day in Cairo. Take an optional l full day tour and visit the Egyptian Museum treasures from the pre-dynastic period to the Old, Middle New Kingdoms of Pharaonic Egypt, as well as the famous exhibit of King Tut Ankhamon. You will view the fabulous manuscripts and papyrus and do not want to miss the royal mummy rooms of several Kings Queens of Pharaonic Egypt (not included).Continue you tour to visit the imposing fortress walls built by Saladin in the 12th century to protect Cairo against the Crusaders. Also, include a visit to Mohammed Ali Mosque, as The Alabaster Mosque, dating back to the19th century AD by Mohammed Ali Pasha. Next, visit Khan el Khalili Bazaars, the major souk (market) in the Islamic district of Cairo. The bazaar district is one of Cairo's main attractions for tourists and Egyptians alike. (B)

Cairo at leisure for your last minute shopping. Take an optional tour and visit the Sakkara Pyramids, named The Step Pyramid for King Zoser, the first stone structure built in the whole world by the famous architect Imhotep. Continue your tour to Memphis which was the ancient capital of Aneb-Hetch, the first name of Lower Egypt. Its ruins are located near the town of Mit Rahina, 20 km south of Cairo. (B)
