Nile Valley and Red Sea

You will be greeted upon arrival at Cairo airport and then transferred by private vehicle to your hotel in Cairo. At the hotel, your local representative will assist you with a smooth check-in and review your itinerary with you to confirm your tour and transfer times. The remainder of the evening is at your leisure.

Following breakfast at your hotel you will begin your full day private guided tour of Cairo including the Great Pyramids of Giza and their guardian Sphinx, the Egyptian Museum and a stroll through the Khan El Khalili Bazaar. Starting with the Cheops, Chephren and Mykerinos pyramids of Giza, you will have the chance to enter the interior burial chamber of  one of the pyramids for a fascinating look at ancient Egyptian burial customs. Not far from the famed pyramids rests the mysterious Great Sphinx, with the body of a lion and head of a pharaoh, guarding the sacred burial sites. After lunch (not included), your guide will take you through the Egyptian Museum, home to over 120,000 objects ranging from pre-historic times to the Greco-Roman era. Later, following a short drive from the musem, your guide will show you around the Khan El Khalili bazaars, world famous for its narrow alleys and tea shops. Tonight, return to your hotel and consider an optional Sound & Light Show at the Great Pyramids. (B)

This morning you will check-out of your Cairo hotel and transfer to Cairo airport for your short flight to Aswan where you will board your relaxing 4-night Nile cruise. Lunch will be served on board followed by a visit to the Nubian Museum by motor boat. Alternatively, if you wish, you may take an optional flight to Abu Simbel from Aswan for a guided visit of the Great Temples of Ramses II and his beloved Nefertari before embarking on your cruise. Tonight, enjoy a cocktail reception and dinner on board. (B,L,D)

After breakfast aboard your ship, join your tour to Philae Temple and the High Dam. Enjoy lunch on board as you sail toward Kom Ombo to visit the magnificent temple here, dedicated to the god Sobek. Watch the banks of the Nile coast by as your ship sails on to Edfu, allowing you a glimpse at riverside life in Egypt. Tonight, enjoy dinner on board. (B,L,D)

Today you will visit the Temple of Edfu before your cruise continues down the Nile to Esna. Here you will cross the lock as lunch is served to arrive in Luxor. Enjoy the view of the West Bank of Luxor as you settle in for the night with dinner on board. (B,L,D)

This morning will start your exploration of Luxor with a visit to the West Bank Valley of the Kings. During your guided tour, you will also see King Tut Ankhamun’s Tomb, Ramses VI, Dier Elmadina Habu and the famous Colossi of Memmnon. Return to your ship for lunch on board before visiting the renowned Luxor and Karnak Temples, exquisite examples of ancient Egyptian architecture, followed by dinner on board. (B,L,D)

Bid farewell to your cruise accommodations this morning as you disembark for your transfer to Hurghada in the Red Sea region. Here you will have a few days at your leisure to enjoy the coastal town. We recommend taking advantage of the plethora of acquatic and beach activities available here such as snorkeling, diving – even a Sinbad Submarine dive! (B)

For a moment, you may forget you are in Egypt as you take in the peaceful, slower pace of the Mediterranean. Today is a full day at your leisure to soak up the sun on the beach or explore Hurghada at your leisure. We recommend taking advantage of this privileged location for spotting wild dolphins by taking a banana boat to the Dolphin House, known for its high density of wild dolphins. (B)

Without question you’ve enjoyed your time on the beach and exploring the laid-back city of Hurghada, but today may be the perfect opportunity to visit Hurghada’s other bustling metropolis below the surface – no diving experience necessary! You have the option to enjoy a unique underwater adventure in a Sindbad or Sea Wolf Submarine, revealing to you the exceptional marine world under the sea. (B)

Enjoy a final breakfast in relaxing Hurghada before transferring to the airport for your flight back to Cairo (ticket included). Upon arrival in Cairo, you will be met by a local representative and transferred to your hotel for check-in. The remainder of the day is at your leisure. (B)

Following breakfast, take your transfer to Cairo airport for your return flight home. (B)
