Touch down at Casablanca Mohammed V International Airport where your English-speaking guide and private driver will be waiting to greet you warmly and transfer you smoothly into the city. Casablanca is Morocco's great cosmopolitan engine — a vast Atlantic metropolis shaped by French colonial ambition, centuries of Islamic tradition and the restless energy of modern commerce. It feels unlike any other city in Morocco, and that contrast makes it a fascinating introduction to a country of extraordinary variety. Check in to your hotel, settle in and let the journey begin to sink in before a transfer to an Indian restaurant for a relaxed and flavourful dinner.

After breakfast, your guide and driver collect you for a morning of discovery in Casablanca. The centrepiece is the magnificent Hassan II Mosque — the second largest mosque in Africa and seventh in the world, with the tallest minaret on earth rising 210 metres above the Atlantic, its laser beam directed nightly towards Mecca. A masterwork of modern Moroccan craftsmanship, it demands time and close attention. Continue to the charming Habous district, where French colonial planning meets traditional Moroccan design in a fascinating blend unique to Casablanca. After lunch at a local restaurant, head north to Rabat for an orientation tour covering the Royal Palace, Mohamed V Mausoleum, Hassan Tower, Kasbah des Oudayas, Chellah and the medina souks.

First Class:

After breakfast, depart for Meknes — the great Ismaili imperial capital encircled by a staggering 40 kilometres of monumental earthen walls. Visit the triumphant Bab Mansour gate, widely considered the finest ceremonial gateway in Morocco, the immense royal stables that once housed 12,000 horses, and the historic Jewish mellah quarter. From there, continue to the extraordinary Roman ruins of Volubilis — one of the finest preserved Roman sites in all of Africa and a UNESCO World Heritage Site, where remarkable floor mosaics and towering columns rise from the open plain in astonishing condition. The scale of what has survived two millennia is humbling. Press on east to Fez, check in and enjoy dinner.

Day 4: The Ancient Heart of Fez

Superior Class:

or similar accommodations

First Class:

or similar accommodations

A full day dedicated to Fez — Morocco's oldest imperial city and the most complete surviving medieval Islamic city anywhere on earth. Begin in the breathtaking medina, founded in the 8th century, where the ancient Andalusian Mosque and the Al-Quaraouiyine University — the oldest continuously operating university in the world — sit alongside ornate madrasas and the celebrated Nejjarine fountain. After a traditional Moroccan lunch, explore the old medina's craftsmen's quarter — tanners, weavers, coppersmiths and carpenters working in exactly the traditions their ancestors followed for centuries. A view over the Chouara Tannery from the surrounding terraces is one of the great visual spectacles of North Africa.

Day 5: Through the Swiss Alps of Morocco

First Class:

or similar accommodations

Superior Class:

or similar accommodations

After breakfast, depart Fez and head south towards Marrakech via one of Morocco's most scenic and surprising routes. The road winds through Immouzer Kandar — a charming Berber village set among apple orchards and cedar forests — before arriving in Ifrane, the remarkable Middle Atlas town famously known as the Switzerland of Morocco for its Alpine-style chalets, manicured gardens and ski slopes. The contrast with the ancient walled medinas of the previous two days is genuinely startling and one of the great pleasures of travelling through Morocco's interior. Continue south as the landscape gradually warms and opens towards Marrakech, stopping for lunch en route. Arrive in the Pink City in the late afternoon.

Day 6: The Red City Revealed

First Class:

or similar accommodations

Superior Class:

or similar accommodations

A full day to immerse yourself in Marrakech — the Pearl of the South and Morocco's second oldest imperial city, founded by the Almoravids at the end of the 11th century. The morning takes in the iconic Koutoubia Mosque, the tranquil Ménara Gardens, the haunting Saadian Tombs — sealed for centuries before their rediscovery in 1917 — and the lavish Bahia Palace, constructed to be the grandest palace of its era. Lunch is at your leisure. The afternoon plunges into the ancient souks and craftsmen's quarter, where centuries-old trades continue undisturbed, before the magnificent, electric spectacle of Djemaa El Fna square — Morocco's greatest open-air theatre — brings this extraordinary day to a close.

Day 7: Farewell to Morocco

After an early checkout, your private driver will transfer you to Menara Marrakech International Airport, with plenty of time for check-in and departure formalities before your flight home. Seven days have taken you through the very heart of Morocco's imperial heritage — from the Atlantic modernity of Casablanca and the royal grandeur of Rabat, through the monumental walls of Meknes and the Roman magnificence of Volubilis, deep into the timeless medieval medina of Fez, across the Alpine landscapes of Ifrane and into the sensory richness of Marrakech. Morocco rewards those who look slowly and carefully, and there is always more to discover. Safe travels — and until next time.
