Catania – Arrival

Upon arrival, you will be met and transferred to your hotel. Tonight, enjoy a welcome cocktail and dinner at the hotel. (Night supplements will be charged for early morning/late evening transfers.) (D)



Catania – Siracusa – Ragusa

After breakfast, depart for Siracusa and visit the most beautiful Greek colony of Sicily. You will visit the archaeological area including the famous Latomie of the Paradise, the Greek Theater and the Dyonisios “Ear”. Continue to the island of Ortigia, the small Baroque old city center of Siracusa and admire the cathedral, the legendary Fontana Arethusa and the Temple of Apollo. In the afternoon, proceed to Ragusa and visit the enchanting historical center Ibla with its stunning Baroque palaces and churches. Enjoy a tasting of typical products of the island in the main square. (B,D)



Ragusa – Caltagirone – Piazza Armerina – Agrigento

After breakfast, depart for Caltagirone, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and famous for its pottery. Enjoy a panoramic tour. You will also have the opportunity for some shopping. Continue to Piazza Armerina and visit the worldwide known Villa Romana del Casale - the richest, largest and most complex collection of late Roman mosaics in the world and UNESCO World Heritage Site. Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant where you will be served local specialties. Continue to Agrigento. In the afternoon, visit the magnificent Valley of the Temples, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Enjoy a guided tour of the valley including the Temples of Concordia, Juno and Heracles that represent the most beautiful examples of Greek Civilization in Sicily. (B,L,D)



Agrigento – Monreale – Palermo

After breakfast, depart for Monreale. Upon arrival, admire the cathedral with its splendid 12th century mosaics and the cloister of the Benedictines abbey with its Moorish architecture. You will have free time for lunch. Continue to Palermo. Enjoy a panoramic tour of the historical center, including the cathedral, the Palace of the Normans and its superb Palatina Chapel. (B,D)



Palermo – Segesta – Erice – Trapani – Palermo

After breakfast, depart for Segesta to admire the magnificent Doric Temple, built 420 to 430 BC, and the theater. Continue to the medieval village of Erice, situated on top of a hill overlooking the city of Trapani and the Egadi Islands. Walk through its winding lanes, inner courtyards and cobbled streets. Proceed to the Trapani area for a panoramic tour of the salt windmills and basins, which are still in use. Return to Palermo. (B,D)



Palermo – Cefalu – Taormina

After breakfast, depart for Cefalú, a charming coastal town. Take a stroll down the main street and reach the cathedral and the medieval wash-house built in the rock. Drive through the Park of Nebrodi and stop in the Miraglia Forest for lunch. Continue to Cesarò and Randazzo, and visit Etna Park from an unusual view point, the Northern side, surrounded by beautiful landscapes. Proceed to Taormina. (B,L,D)



Taormina at Leisure

After breakfast, enjoy a morning at leisure or consider joining an optional excursion to Mount Etna. In the afternoon, spend some more time in Taormina, a charming city called "the pearl of the Ionian Sea", founded in 400 BC and beautifully located overlooking the sea and the peak of Mount Etna. Enjoy time at leisure to shop for handmade lace, coral jewels, ceramics, home-made sweets and preserves on “Corso Umberto”, or simply walk through the tiny streets. You may want to visit the fascinating Roman - Greek Theater on your own. (B,D)



Taormina – Catania – Return
