Enjoy a relaxing overnight flight to Catania, Sicily.

Catania-Arrival

First Class: Il Principe Hotel or similar accommodations

Upon arrival, you will be met and transferred to your hotel. Enjoy a welcome cocktail and dinner at your hotel. (Night supplements will be charged for early morning/late evening transfers.) (D)

Catania-Siracusa-Ragusa

First Class: Poggio del Sole Resort or similar accommodations

Depart for Siracusa and visit the archaeological area including the famous Latomie of the Paradise and the Dyionisios “Ear”. Continue to the island of Ortigia, the historical center of the city. Visit the Cathedral and Arethuse fountain. Depart for Ragusa and visit the enchanting historical center of Ibla with its Baroque stunning palaces and churches. Enjoy a tasting of typical products of the island in a nice bar in the main square by the Dome. (B,D)

Ragusa-Piazza Armerina-Agrigento

First Class: Best Western Dioscuri Bay Palace or similar accommodations

Depart for Caltagirone, the famous center of the Sicilian ceramics production. Visit a ceramics laboratory and use the opportunity for shopping. Continue to Piazza Armerina and visit the worldwide known Villa Romana del Casale and admire its well preserved mosaics. Lunch at a local restaurant to taste the local specialities. Depart for Agrigento and visit the Valley of the Temples including the Temple of Juno, Concordia & Heracles. (B,L,D)

Agrigento-Monreale-Palermo

First Class: Grand Hotel Piazza Borsa or similar accommodations

Depart for Palermo. You will have some time at leisure and in the afternoon visit Monreale including the Cathedral and the Benedictine Cloister in Arab-Norman style. Continue on to visit the historical center of Palermo, where the Cathedral, the Palatine Chapel, and the Royal Palace are located. Enjoy dinner at a local restaurant. (B,D)

Palermo-Segesta-Erice-Trapani-Palermo

First Class: Grand Hotel Piazza Borsa or similar accommodations

Depart for Segesta to admire the Temple and the Theatre. Then continue to the medieval village of Erice pearched on the top of a hill overlooking the city of Trapani and the Egadi Islands: walk through its tiny and characteristic streets. Continue to Trapani for a panoramic tour of the salt windmills that are still working. Return to Palermo. (B,D)

Palermo-Cefalu-Taormina

First Class: Hotel Villa Diodoro or similar accommodations

Depart for Cefalù, a former fishing village, now a charming coastal town. Enjoy a walk to the city center and down main street to reach the Arab-Norman Cathedral and the medieval wash-house built in the rock. Drive through the Park of “Nebrodi” and stop in Miraglia Forest for lunch. Continue to Cesarò, Randazzo and visit the Etna park from an unusual point of view, the north facing side, surrounded by beautiful landscapes. Arrive in Taormina, enjoy dinner and stay overnight at your hotel.(B,L,D)

Taormina

First Class: Hotel Villa Diodoro or similar accommodations

After breakfast, enjoy a morning at leisure or wheather permitting, consider an optional tour to Mount Etna, the highest active volcano in Europe. In the afternoon visit Taormina, the small medieval village called "the pearl of the Ionic Sea". Enjoy time at leisure for shopping or walking through the tiny streets. In the evening be ready for a farewell dinner at your hotel. (B,D)
