Visiting 'Unseen' Thailand by way of a gentle free-floating balloon is an experience of a lifetime. As the sun peeks over the horizon the balloon will gently lift off sky ward, into the calm breeze guiding it. The 'birds eye view is' surprisingly detailed. Guaranteed breath taking panoramic views, of the distant mountains, terraced rice paddies, the lush green Ping River valley, and rural villages, are sure to take your breath away. An aerial view of the many striking golden temples, typical for the Chiang Mai area, adds to the picturesque adventure. After a tranquil flight of approximately 50 minutes, you will land wherever the wind has brought you and be congratulated with clean and natural breakfast served at the landing site followed by the traditional Balloon's Champagne Celebration and the pilot, as a remembrance of the flight, will also award all passengers with a flight certificate. Afterwards, continue your day to the 600-year-old temple of Wat Pra That Doi Suthep, near the summit of Doi Suthep Mountain. After a drive up the mountain’s winding road, the final climb to the site is via a magnificent Naga (dragon-headed serpent) staircase of 306 steps. Inside is an intriguing copper-plated Chedi topped by a five-tier gold umbrella which contains partial relics of Lord Buddha. On a clear day, there are incomparable views over the city of Chiang Mai and surrounding countryside.
