A place for spiritual reflection, Enoshima Island is most well known for the Enoshima shrine with statues dedicated to the Buddhist goddess, Benzaiten. The small island is located in the Kanagawa province on the shores of the Shonan Coast. Fans of outdoor adventure will love the Iwaya Cave tidal pools while those with a taste for luxury may enjoy the 19th Century, English-style Samual Cocking Garden. One of Japan's many islands with a history all its own.
