After wartime destruction, the old town was rebuilt with such pietism that UNESCO granted it the World Cultural and Natural Heritage status. The remainder of the afternoon is at your leisure to explore.

Enjoy a full day on your own to explore at your leisure. You may want to consider an optional visit to the powerful and moving Auschwitz concentration camp and the Wieliczka Salt Mines.
