Enjoy a free day to explore Istanbul on your own. You may consider visiting the Galata Tower for a panoramic view of Istanbul and the local district with its artist quarters and old houses. Visit the Spice Bazaar and wander around the Old City where your hotel is located. (B)

Finish any last minute shopping today or take an optional private tour of the local museums. Visit the Istanbul Archaeological Museum with its impressive Alexander the Great Sarcophagus, Museum of the Ancient Orient and the Tiled Kiosk of Sultan Mehmet with its fine ceramic collection, the Underground Cistern with its Medusa heads and weeping columns or the Museum of Turkish and Islamic Arts. You will be transferred early in the morning to the domestic airport for your flight to Kayseri in Cappadocia. Upon arrival you will visit the Rose Valley, and explore the famous rock- cut churches. You will have lunch in Cavusin, an old Greek village, known for its Christian houses and churches. In the afternoon you will visit Kaymakli Underground City and the panoramic Pigeon Valley. Today you will visit Devrent Valley with its Fairy Chimneys and Pasabagi. Drive to Avanos which is known for the pottery, a craft dating back to the Hittite period. After lunch you will proceed to Goreme Open Air Museum to visit the churches, chapels and monasteries carved into the rock. (B,L)

You will be transferred to the local airport in the morning for your flight to Istanbul. You will connect with your international flight back to USA. (B)
