Explore Istanbul’s imperial heritage starting with a half-day private tour of the Saint Sophia, the Blue Mosque, Topkapi Palace and the Hippodrome. You will have free time in the afternoon to visit the famous Grand Bazaar on your own. (B)

Enjoy a private walking tour of the most important museums in the old city. First stop will be the Istanbul Archaeological Museum with its impressive “Alexander the Great Sarcophagus”. Continue to the Museum of the Ancient Orient and the Tiled Kiosk of Sultan Mehmet with its fine ceramic collection. After lunch you will visit the Underground Cistern with its Medusa heads and “weeping columns”. We conclude the day with a visit to the Mosaic Museum. (B,L)

Enjoy a free morning to explore Istanbul on your own. You may consider visiting the Galata Tower for a panoramic view of Istanbul and the local district with its artist quarters and old houses. This afternoon you will be picked up from your hotel for a short visit of the Spice Bazaar before you board a cruise on the Bosphorus. A delicious seafood dinner will conclude your special day. (B,D)
