Johannesburg - Arrival

Deluxe Class: Four Seasons Hotel The Westcliff or similar accommodations

Upon arrival to Tambo Airport, meet your driver/guide for a private transfer to your hotel. The remainder of the day is at your leisure.

Johannesburg - Soweto - Kruger Park

Deluxe Class: Lion Sands River Lodge or similar accommodations

Meet your driver/guide at your hotel and get ready for a private tour of South African culture. Start the day with the Hector Peterson Memorial. Continue to the prestigious and must-visit Apartheid Museum, which is located in Johannesburg’s Ormondo suburb. The exhibitions span the beginnings of segregation in the country and the implementation of the Apartheid system. After your tour, you will be transferred to the airport for your flight to Skukuza Airport in Kruger National Park (ticket not included). Upon arrival, you will be met by your English-speaking driver and transferred by shared vehicle to Lion Sands River Lodge. The remainder of the day is at your leisure. (B,D)

Game Drives in Kruger National Park

Game Drives in Kruger National Park

Deluxe Class: Lion Sands River Lodge or similar accommodations

Game drives take place twice daily with only six guests per vehicle to ensure a quality experience. Other activity options include bush walks, birding, astronomy, river walks and hippo tours, boma dinners and visits to local villages. Those in need of some pampering will enjoy the attentions of the on-site spa therapists. (B,L,D)

Kruger National Park - Cape Town

Deluxe Class: Twelve Apostles Hotel and Spa or similar accommodations

After breakfast, meet your English-speaking driver for your shared transfer to Skukuza Airport for your flight to Cape Town (not included). Upon arrival to Cape Town International Airport, you will be met your English-speaking driver/guide for a private transfer to your hotel. The remainder of the day is at your leisure. (B)

Discover Cape Town & Robben Island

Deluxe Class: Twelve Apostles Hotel and Spa or similar accommodations

After breakfast, meet your driver/guide at your hotel to enjoy the cable car to the top of Table Mountain (weather permitting). You will take a trip to the top of the world, high above the clouds, on the famous Table Mountain, an icon in Cape Town and the most photographed landmark in the country. Continue with South Africa’s exciting Mother City, witnessing the cultural sights of Cape Town. Visit the impressive Castle of Good Hope and Cape Town City Hall, George’s Cathedral, the lush Company Gardens, the Bo-Kaap, also known as the Cape Malay quarter. After your tour, your driver/guide will take you to Nelson Mandela Gateway at the VA Waterfront to board your Robben Island ferry (weather permitting). Upon arrival at Murray’s Harbor, you will take a short walk to the shared buses, which will take you to each of the historically significant sites. Being one of the most famous prisons in the world, Robben Island is where South Africa’s national hero, Nelson Mandela, spent 18 years imprisoned. The tour guides inside the prison today are former political prisoners, so their knowledge of this island is unparalleled and adds a unique cultural layer to this experience. This tour culminates with a viewing of Nelson Mandela’s cell. After the tour, take your shared bus transportation back to the harbor and board your return ferry back to Cape Town. Your driver/guide will meet you when you disembark and transfer you back to your hotel. (B)Please Note: Robben Island requires guests to produce a form of identification when they purchase a ticket and board a ferry when visiting the island. All visitors are required to provide either an identification document, passport, birth certificate or drivers licence. Copies of these documents will be accepted.
