Upon arrival in Liberia Airport, meet the representative for transfer to your hotel. The Tabacón experience includes unlimited access to the mineral natural hot springs of the property. Water flows by gravity throughout the property, forming in-river pools, waterfalls, and cascades. These natural pools are located throughout the resort along walking trails surrounded by steaming tropical gardens; temperatures range from 25 to 38 degrees Celsius (77 to 102 F).

Embark on a combination adventure to explore the thrilling natural scenery of Arenal! You will first visit the Arenal Hanging Bridges, where you will walk through the forest along trails and bridges for a bird’s eye view of the plants and animals. Then you will visit La Fortuna Waterfall, famous for its soaring height of 60 meters (197 feet). Take a refreshing swim in its cool waters, or seize the opportunity for a unique photoshoot! Afterward, enjoy a delicious lunch and continue towards the Arenal Volcano National Park, where we will hike the “lava slides” trail to the closest safety point. If the skies are clear, enjoy impressive views of Arenal Lake, the secondary forest, and the areas devastated by previous eruptions. (B, L)

After breakfast, enjoy a tour of Palo Verde National Park. (Operated on Monday and Friday) Learn about the hydrologic characteristics of the Tempisque River and its rich surroundings; the park contains 15 different topographical zones and is on the RAMSAR List of Wetlands of International Importance! With its diverse ecology and huge variety of bird species, Palo Verde is an excellent place for birdwatchers and nature lovers. Enjoy a relaxing boat trip into its ecosystem to spot gigantic crocodiles, monkeys, iguanas, and birds like the Jabiru, tiger herons, and scarlet macaws. After an exploration of the park’s wildlife, enjoy a delicious typical lunch. (B,L)
