Leaving Lima for Machu Picchu

Begin with a leisurely morning in Lima, where you can relax or explore the city at your own pace. Later, your private transfer will take you to Lima Airport for your flight to Cusco, the gateway to the Sacred Valley and Machu Picchu. Upon arrival, a private driver will bring you to your Cusco hotel. Take the rest of the day to unwind, adjust to the altitude, and soak in the atmosphere of this historic city. Ascension into Cusco

Discover the cultural richness of Cusco with a half-day City Tour, where you’ll explore highlights like the Plaza de Armas, the Cathedral, and vibrant local markets. In the afternoon, visit the magnificent Sacsayhuaman Incan Ruins, a vast archaeological site known for its massive stone structures and stunning views over Cusco. Learn about the significance of this fortress and its role in Incan history. After your tour, travel to the Sacred Valley for an overnight stay, surrounded by scenic Andean landscapes and close to the historic wonders awaiting you.

Gateway to Machu Picchu

One of the most important tourist landmarks in the world awaits us: Machu Picchu! Our adventure will begin aboard the train to Aguas Calientes, also known as Machu Picchu Pueblo, a picturesque town at the foot of the emblematic Inca citadel. During the train ride we can enjoy the natural beauty of the surroundings, with impressive views of majestic mountains, the Vilcanota river and small towns of the Peruvian Andes; a visual feast that fills us with anticipation for the visit to the wonder that is Machu Picchu. After a short bus ride from Aguas Calientes we will find ourselves in front of one of the Seven Wonders of the Modern World – an unforgettable sight! From there, we will explore the ancient ruins, learning all about the history and mysteries that this mystical and impressive place holds. Surrounded by incomparable landscapes, there will be no shortage of spectacular photo opportunities with the iconic Huayna Picchu as a backdrop! Once we have recharged ourselves with the magical energy of Machu Picchu, we will return to Aguas Calientes where we will have free time to have lunch and relax in our hotel.

Adventures on Huayna Picchu

For the more adventurous, today, we will have the opportunity to ascend the famous Huayna Picchu mountain, the one that dazzles in the background of the iconic photo in the citadel. The climb to the young mountain (the meaning of its name in Quechua) is physically demanding, but the reward at the top makes the effort worthwhile. The view of the citadel from the top is spectacular, as we can also see the mountain ranges surrounding it from a formidable point. We will descend through tunnels and Inca constructions to the llaqta to leave the archaeological site and take our bus back to Aguas Calientes, to board the train back to Cusco for the night

Celebratory Ceviche in Cusco

Spend your final morning in Peru at your leisure, relaxing or visiting any last Cusco sights. In the afternoon, enjoy a Ceviche & Pisco Class, where you’ll learn to prepare Peru’s iconic ceviche and craft a refreshing pisco sour under the guidance of local experts. Afterward, take advantage of a late check-out from your hotel before your private transfer to Lima Airport. With a suitcase full of memories and a taste for Peruvian cuisine, you’ll depart Peru, concluding your journey with unforgettable culinary and cultural experiences. Safe travels!
