1

London - Bath - Cotswolds

Superior First Class: Lygon Arms or similar accommodations

Departing London in the morning with your private driver/guide, you will head southwest towards the rolling English countryside of the “Great West Way.” Your morning includes a visit to the Neolithic marvel that is Stonehenge. Get up close to the stones, discover theories as to how they got there, why they were put there and by whom – then come to your own conclusion. Around lunchtime you will arrive in the 18th Century Georgian town and World Heritage UNESCO site, Bath. After some free time for lunch (not included) you will enjoy a guided walking tour of this historical town before visiting the Roman Baths. You will proceed to your Cotswolds based hotel by private transfer, arriving early evening.

Explore the Cotswolds

Today, enjoy a day of relaxation in the quintessential British countryside of the Cotswolds. Be transported back to a golden-age of charming villages, local communities, quaint countryside pubs, real ales and antiques. Your driver/guide will take you to a number of off-the-beaten-track towns and villages, so you get a real Cotswolds experience. (B)

Cotswolds - Oxford - London

Leaving the Cotswolds, you will head back towards London, but not before a gently paced guided tour of Oxford in the morning followed by Blenheim Palace in the afternoon. The historic University City of Oxford, home to the Bodleian Library, Sheldonian Theatre and countless jaw-droppingly picturesque colleges, is the perfect place to walk as your guide explains the history and importance of this city. Blenheim Palace, Home of the Duke of Marlborough and also the birthplace of Sir Winston Churchill, is one of England’s greatest houses and here you will discover exactly what it was like in those days of aristocracy amongst splendid surroundings. Arrival back to London early evening. (B)
