Description

The quaint town of San Jose del Cabo offers tranquility and old Mexican charm. It is also the best place to shop for souvenirs. Arch at Lands End

A trip to one of Los Cabos’ most recognized landmarks, 'El Arco,' is a must. The 200-foot-high rock formation, situated just off the shore of Lover’s Beach, has the best view of the ocean. A water taxi from the Cabo San Lucas marina will take you underneath the arch and close to the sea lion colony. It's a perfect whale watching site and snorkeling spot.

It's been awarded with the title of the best golf course in the world and also hosts the PGA Senior Slam tournament.

Cabo Dolphins

If you have ever dreamed of swimming with dolphins, this is the place to be. Both swimmers and non-swimmers can encounter Pacific bottle-nose dolphins in the safety and comfort of state-of-the-art facilities. Options include swimming with dolphins and 'Trainer for a Day' programs.

Cabo Sailing

Whether you want to learn how to sail or go on a romantic sunset cruise, this is bound to be a memorable experience. Private and public sailing charters are operating daily. Don't forget to bring comfortable clothes and sunblock.

Costa Azul

This popular surfing beach stretches for 3km along the Highway 1, and it's one of the best spots to enjoy the sunset while sipping a chilled cocktail. For safety reasons, swimming isn't recommended.

Cruising

There are many different types of cruising to choose from, from dinner cruise to party cruise. One boat company, Pez Gato, offers the so called 'Cabo Party Cruise,' a sunset cruise that offers all-you-can-drink margaritas and where you spend two hours touring the coastline aboard a 42-foot Hawaiian-style catamaran. Advance bookings are strongly recommended.

Baja Brewing Company

It's the one and only brewery in Los Cabos, ideal to get a chilled beer or enjoy traditional pub food such as Shepherd's pie and Buffalo wings. The restaurant, in fact, is just adjacent to the Baja Brewing Company, and it is located in the historic art district of San José del Cabo. The outside beer garden is complete with a water wall and wood-fired pizza oven.

Best Time to Visit

If you are not part of the spring break crowd or want to avoid tourists, the best time to visit Los Cabos is from May to June. The tourists who come looking for the sun during the winter will be gone, and the ones who want to spend their time here during the summer holidays have yet to arrive. During the summer time, from July till September, it's hurricane season, and it's very hot and humid. If you are a fan of whale-watching, book your trip between December and March.

Passport / Visa

Visa exemption applies to citizens of all EU countries, most countries in the Americas, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, South Korea, and more. Both tourists and business visitors from these countries may stay in Mexico for up to 180 days. For Russian, Turkish and Ukrainian passport holders, electronic authorization (SAE) is required. This authorization grants travelers from these countries the right to a single entry, with stays ranging from 30 to 180 days. Please consult an embassy or consulate in your home country for the latest information on visa requirements. When traveling to Mexico, you will need to fill out a 'Forma Migratoria Múltiple' (FMM), which is essentially a visitor’s permit for Mexico. All travelers are encouraged to do so online prior to traveling, and present the printed out document upon entering the country.

Los Cabos International Airport (SJD)

Los Cabos International Airport serves San José del Cabo, Cabo San Lucas, and the broader Los Cabos region. Located in San José del Cabo, it is just 34 kilometers from Cabo San Lucas and 10 kilometers from the city center of San José del Cabo. The airport features three terminals and provides travelers with various transportation options. Taxis are available at the stand located at Terminal 3, but it is advisable to confirm the use of a meter or negotiate the price beforehand if a meter is not available. Shared shuttles are another cost-effective option, ideal for solo travelers or groups. Car rental services are also conveniently available on-site. Los Cabos International primarily accommodates Mexican, American, and Canadian airlines. Among the most popular carriers are Delta, Aeromexico, American Airlines, Spirit, and WestJet, flying to destinations across North America.

Public Transport

Buses are a convenient way to get around, with services that run through the two towns of Cabo San Lucas and San José del Cabo. The main private bus company in Baja California Sur is called 'Aguila,' followed by 'Autobuses de la Baja California.' Most of the bus drivers stop anywhere, just make sure you request yuor stop ahead of time.

Taxi

Hailing a taxi is rarely a problem in Los Cabos. Local taxis are particularly easy to find at the airport and at the major hotels. One of the companies which provides an excellent taxi service is All Ways Cabo Transportation. They are known for their professional drivers and the impeccable cars. They even have a beer or water for you when you hop into the car.

Electricity

The standard voltage is 127 V and the standard frequency is 60 Hz. The power plugs and sockets are type A and B, meaning that if you come to visit Los Cabos from Europe you'll need an adapter.

Pharmacy

Super Dorada's + Pharmacy is connected to the local hospital, is open 24 hours a day and can provide you with medical attention and medication.

There are post offices available in both San José del Cabo and Cabo San Lucas. Choose the one that is closest to your location or accommodation.
