Arrival - Louisville

Begin your trip in Louisville, Kentucky, the appropriately-nicknamed “Bourbon City”. After arrival at the airport, pick up your rental car and check in to your hotel before setting out to explore Louisville. Head to downtown’s Whiskey Row where you’ll find not only historic distilleries and tasting rooms but also a vibrant farm-to-table dining scene.

Day

2

Louisville - Lexington

After a hearty Southern breakfast, head east into Kentucky’s countryside, where horses graze peacefully along rolling green hills. Take the Bluegrass Parkway to visit more than half a dozen distilleries including Woodford Reserve, Wild Turkey, and Maker’s Mark located in picturesque towns like Versailles, Danville, and Loretto. In Lexington, you may want to take a tour of a horse farm to get up close and personal with some gorgeous retired racehorses.

Day

3

Lexington - Bardstown

This morning, take a scenic drive to quaint Bardstown, a historic town dubbed the “Bourbon Capital of the World” due to its 11 unique distilleries within just a few miles. Sample spirits while enjoying live music and soaking in the atmosphere of this postcard-perfect Southern town.

Day

4

Bardstown - Owensboro

Depart Bardstown and head for Owensboro this morning. Along the way, stop in Bowling Green to rev up your engine with both the Corsair Distillery and its unconventional whiskies as well as the famous Corvette Museum. In Owensboro, choose from a dizzying array of bourbons at the historic Miller House restaurant or sit back and relax to live bluegrass music at the many live music venues in town.

Day

5

Owensboro - Nashville

Head south this morning to Nashville, Tennessee. Along the way you might want to stop in Paducah, a town known for its traditional Kentucky moonshine. Learn about the history of moonshine and take a stroll along the waterfront before continuing on to Nashville. Try some spicy Nashville hot chicken and wash it down with some local whiskey or craft beer. You might also want to stop at the Jack Daniel’s distillery in nearby Lynchburg.
