Explore Munich

First Class: Eden Hotel Wolff or similar accommodations

In the morning, join a city tour through Munich visiting its famous attractions such as the Marienplatz, the Viktualienmartk and the Hofbrauhaus. Munich is the gateway to the Bavarian Alps and world famous for the Oktoberfest celebration and the Bayern Munchen football club with its impressive Allianz Arena. The liveliest part of Munich is undoubtedly the Marienplatz, a spectacular square full of history. The afternoon is free to explore the city at your leisure. Overnight in Munich (B)

Munich - Bavarian Castles - Fussen

First Class: Hirschen Hotel or similar accommodations

Today you will leave for Fussen and enjoy a visit of the splendid castles of Louis II, King of Bavaria and also known as the Mad King. Explore the fairy-tale like Neuschwanstein Castle and the incredible Linderhof which are framed by one of the most beautiful natural surroundings in the world. You will also have the chance to visit the village of Oberammergau, known for its handicrafts and its annual Passion plays. Overnight in Fussen. (B)

Fussen - Garmisch-Partenkirchen

Continue your journey to Garmisch-Partenkirchen, capital of winter sports and host of the 1936 Winter Olympics. Here you will find the highest mountain peak in Germany, the Zugspitze. Ascend the steep slope by cable car to the summit and enjoy the spectacular views. Overnight in Garmisch-Partenkirchen. (B)

Garmisch-Partenkirchen - Innsbruck - Salzburg

Salzburg - Berchtesgaden

First Class: Alpenhotel Kronprinz Berchtesgaden or similar accommodations

Leave for Berchtesgaden, a typical Alpine village at the foot of the Watzmann Mountain, well known for its salt mines, the Konigssee, or lake of the king, and the Obersalzberg with the Hitler’s famed Eagle’s Nest. After a visit to the salt mine in Berchtesgaden, you can choose to take an optional boat trip on the Konigssee or visit the famous Eagle’s Nest. (B)

Berchtesgaden - Lake Chiem - Munich

In the morning, leave for Munich. En route, you will stop on the shores of Lake Cheim for a photo stop and views of the spectacular surroundings. You will arrive in Munich in the afternoon. (B)
