Breakfast is followed by a scenic drive through Kenya's fertile highlands and down the dramatic rift escarpment, along a road built by Italian prisoners of war during World War II. Pass a charming chapel at the escarpment's foot and the striking Longonot earth satellite station before crossing the valley to Narok and on through fields of wheat and barley, arriving in the Masai Mara in time for lunch.
