Day 1
Day 1: Nairobi to the Masai Mara
Upon arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, or after collection from your Nairobi hotel, transfer to Wilson Airport to begin your family safari adventure. Board your scheduled Governors Aviation flight at 09:30, a thrilling first light-aircraft experience for many young travelers, landing in the Masai Mara at around 10:15. Your guide welcomes you for the short transfer to camp, where you'll settle into your Family Tent before lunch overlooking the river. In the afternoon, set out on your first family game drive across the vast golden plains, searching for lions, elephants, giraffes and zebras. As the sun sets, return to camp to freshen up before dinner, then drift off to sleep to the grunts of hippos and the distant calls of the African night.

Day 2
Day 2: A Family Safari Day in the Mar
Rise early for a morning game drive, when the Mara's animals are most active and predators are often on the move. Your expert guide brings the bush to life for every age, sharing stories about animal behavior, pointing out tracks and helping young spotters tick off sightings on their wildlife checklist. Return to camp for a hearty breakfast, then spend the middle of the day relaxing, perhaps watching hippos wallow in the river from your veranda. Families may also choose an optional visit to a nearby Maasai village to learn about local traditions, or a bush breakfast on the plains (additional cost, subject to availability). In the afternoon, head out again in search of the Big Five, pausing for sundowners, with juice and snacks for the young adventurers, as the sky turns gold.

Day 3
Day 3: The Mara from Land or Sky
Today offers two ways to experience the magic of the Mara. Rise early for a morning game drive, following lions on the prowl, elephants moving through the marshes and vast herds grazing the plains, with your guide helping young explorers spot animals and read their tracks. Alternatively, take to the skies on an unforgettable hot-air balloon safari (additional cost), drifting silently over the plains at sunrise as the reserve awakens below, before landing for a celebratory champagne breakfast in the bush, with juice for younger flyers. Return to camp for a relaxed afternoon by the river, then set out on an afternoon game drive in search of any wildlife still missing from the family's checklist, before a final dinner under canvas.

Day 4
Day 4: Masai Mara to Nairobi
Enjoy a leisurely breakfast at camp, savoring a final view over the Mara River and sharing everyone's favorite moments from the safari. Then transfer to the airstrip for your scheduled Governors Aviation flight, departing the Masai Mara at 10:45 and arriving in Nairobi at around 12:00. On arrival, you'll be met and transferred to your Nairobi hotel or to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your onward journey. You'll take home memories of roaring lions, grazing herds and starlit nights under canvas, the kind of family adventure that inspires lifelong curiosity about the natural world.
