SkySafari East Africa links Kenya and Tanzania's most exceptional wilderness areas by light aircraft, trading long road transfers for scenic flights between five distinct ecosystems. From Amboseli's elephant herds beneath Kilimanjaro to the rugged conservancies of Laikipia, the golden plains of the Masai Mara, the volcanic drama of Ngorongoro Crater, and the endless grassland of the Serengeti, this journey covers extraordinary ground without sacrificing time in the bush. Elewana's collection of camps and lodges anchors each stop, with all-inclusive full board covering meals, house wine, local beer, and laundry throughout. Tonight's accommodation is at Hemingways Nairobi or similar*, in a deluxe room on a half board basis, with dinner included alongside filtered water, juice, local beer, house wine by the glass, and non-premium spirits. It's a smooth, well-tended first night in Kenya before the safari proper begins tomorrow.

Day 2: Wings to the Wild — Nairobi to Amboseli National Park

Following breakfast and a thorough safari briefing, you head to Nairobi's Wilson Airport for an exclusive SkySafari flight south to Amboseli National Park. On arrival, the camp's vehicle meets you for the transfer, arriving in time for lunch. After some time to settle in and enjoy the camp's facilities, a shared afternoon game drive carries you across Amboseli's iconic plains, tracking elephant herds against the ever-present backdrop of Mount Kilimanjaro, before returning to camp for dinner and overnight. Accommodation is at Elewana Tortilis Camp on a full board basis, including all meals, bottled water, juice, local beer, house wine by the glass, non-premium spirits, and laundry.

Day 3: Elephant Country — A Full Day in Amboseli

The day begins with a shared early morning game drive followed by a bush breakfast, before continuing game viewing back to camp by midday. After lunch and time to enjoy the camp's facilities, choose between a guided bush walk or a shared afternoon game drive, both offering further immersion in Amboseli's rich wildlife and landscapes. As the day winds down, a scenic sundowner at a lookout point delivers sweeping views over the plains, with Kilimanjaro often catching the last light. A private dinner at camp closes out a full and varied day, before overnight at Elewana Tortilis Camp.

Day 4: Wings North — Amboseli to Loisaba Conservancy

Following breakfast, a shared morning game drive precedes your transfer to the airstrip for a scenic SkySafari flight north to Loisaba Conservancy in Laikipia. A VIP welcome and conservancy briefing set the scene before game viewing en route to camp for lunch. The afternoon offers a shared game drive or a choice of other activities, followed by relaxing drinks and dinner under the stars. Loisaba's rugged, elevated terrain marks a striking shift from Amboseli's swamps and acacia woodland, opening up a wilder, more remote chapter of the journey. Overnight is at Elewana Loisaba Tented Camp, full board included.

Day 5: Laikipia Unleashed — Adventure at Loisaba

Today offers the widest range of activities of the entire journey: choose from a game drive, a visit to a Samburu cultural village, a guided bush walk, horse or camel safari, lion tracking, mountain biking, seasonal fishing, a visit to the conservancy headquarters, or an anti-poaching sniffer dog experience. A bush breakfast and spa treatment punctuate the morning, followed by lunch back at camp. The afternoon brings another shared activity of your choosing before dinner and overnight. Loisaba's conservation-driven ethos and sheer variety of experiences make this one of the journey's most memorable and personalized days.

Day 6: Into the Mara — Loisaba to the Masai Mara

Breakfast at camp is followed by a game drive en route to Loisaba's airstrip, where a SkySafari flight carries you south to the world-famous Masai Mara National Reserve. On arrival, a shared game drive delivers you to camp for lunch, with time afterward to settle into the camp's facilities. The afternoon brings a further shared game drive, culminating in sundowners out in the bush as the golden Mara light fades. Dinner and overnight await at Sand River Masai Mara, a camp perfectly placed for exploring one of Africa's most celebrated wildlife reserves, full board included throughout.

Day 7: Mara in Full — A Day Among the Herds

An early breakfast sets the stage for a full day of shared game viewing across the Masai Mara, with a picnic hamper lunch enjoyed out in the bush amid the reserve's sweeping grassland. This is prime territory for the Big Five, alongside cheetah, hyena, and — depending on season — the dramatic river crossings of the wildebeest migration. As the day draws to a close, dinner is served under the stars back at camp, a fitting way to mark a day spent immersed in one of the world's greatest wildlife spectacles. Overnight at Sand River Masai Mara.

Day 8: Border Hopping — Mara to Ngorongoro by Air

Breakfast at camp precedes a scenic game drive en route to Keekorok airstrip for a midday SkySafari flight, with a lunchbox served on board as you transit through Kisumu for Kenyan customs, then Musoma to clear Tanzanian immigration, before landing at Manyara airstrip. From there, a road transfer delivers you to The Manor at Ngorongoro in time for sundowners, with an optional massage treatment available before dinner. This multi-hop flying day covers extraordinary ground efficiently, trading a long road transfer for scenic aerial views and a smooth border crossing. Overnight at Elewana The Manor at Ngorongoro.

Day 9: Crater Floor — A Day Among 30,000 Animals

An early breakfast at the lodge precedes the descent to the floor of the Ngorongoro Crater for a full day of exploration. Within just 102 square miles, more than 30,000 resident mammals create exceptional odds of spotting all of the Big Five in a single outing. A picnic lunch is enjoyed within the crater itself, surrounded by one of Africa's most concentrated wildlife arenas. In the afternoon, the return climb to the rim brings you back to the lodge for dinner and overnight, the crater's volcanic walls glowing in the fading light. Day 11: Endless Plains — A Full Day in the Serengeti

Breakfast at camp opens a full day of game viewing across the Serengeti's vast, golden grassland, with a picnic hamper lunch enjoyed out in the bush amid some of the greatest wildlife density on the continent. Depending on the season, this may include front-row views of the great migration or simply the Serengeti's resident population of lion, leopard, cheetah, and elephant. As evening falls, sundowners at camp lead into dinner under the stars, a fitting close to the journey's final full safari day. Overnight at Elewana Serengeti Pioneer Camp or Serengeti Migration Camp, depending on season.

Day 12: Journey's End — Arusha and Departure

Breakfast at camp is followed by a drive to the airstrip for your final SkySafari flight, landing in Arusha. A transfer to Arusha Coffee Lodge brings lunch and, time permitting, the Shanga cultural experience — a chance to see recycled art and craftsmanship created by local artisans with disabilities. A day room may be available depending on your outbound flight schedule, before a road transfer to Kilimanjaro International Airport for departure, bringing this remarkable multi-camp, multi-flight safari to its close.
