Oslo - Arrival

After breakfast, meet your local guide for a 3-hour private sightseeing tour of the Norwegian capital, beautifully situated by the fjord. Enjoy the view from the Opera House before heading off to Bygdoy Island. Visit one of the most popular museums, the Viking Ship Museum, with its three Viking vessels. Vigeland’s Park, one of the major cultural treasures of Scandinavia, will welcome us with sculptures by Gustav Vigeland, who dedicated his life to his artistic works. We will also pass by the Royal Palace and the main street, Karl Johan. The tour ends at the hotel, from where you will be free to explore the Viking capital at your own pace. (B)

Oslo - Lofthus

Deluxe Class: Hotel Ullensvang or similar accommodations

After breakfast, pick your private vehicle up in Oslo City Centre and depart for Lofthus. Drive across the pine forest- and lake-filled landscapes of Honefoss and Nesbyen before arriving in the beautiful Hallingdal Valley. Visit the towns of Gol and Geilo, the latter of which is a small town surrounded by mountains and famous for its ski resorts. Then drive to the impressive Hardanger fjord to arrive at Lofthus, one of Edvard Grieg's favourite haunts, and one of the most beautiful points of the fjord. Dinner at the hotel. (B, D)

Lofthus - Bergen

Deluxe Class: Hotel Norge by Scandic or similar accommodations

After breakfast, depart Lofthus and travel back along the fjord until reaching Brimnes, where you will cross the splendid Hardanger fjord by traveling across the newly opened Hardanger Bridge. The Hardanger Bridge has one of the longest suspension spans in the world and the longest in Norway. After reaching the other side, continue along the fjord, passing by Nordheimsund and crossing through birch forests until arriving in Bergen. Bergen is the capital of the fjords, Norway’s second-largest city, and one of the three university cities in the country. In the early afternoon, meet your local guide at the hotel for a 2-hour panoramic sightseeing tour, during which we will delight in St. Mary’s Church, Haakon’s Hall, the colorful and picturesque fish markets, and the old Bryggen area. The evening is at your leisure. (B)

Bergen - Flam – Loen

After breakfast, depart Bergen and travel to the historic town of Voss and its stunning background of snow clad mountains. Continue to Flåm, where you can either stop for lunch or board a return train to Myrdal to experience one of the most spectacular rail journeys in the world, descending down from the mountain station of Myrdal to the quaint fjord village of Flåm. Afterwards, visit the Stegastein Viewpoint to marvel at the incredible views of Nærefjord, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Continue your journey through Laerdal and Skei until reaching Loen, beautifully situated between mountains, lakes, and fjords. Dinner and overnight at the prestigious hotel Alexandra. (B, D)

Loen – Briksdal Glacier – Geiranger

Deluxe Class: Hotel Union Geiranger Bad & Spa or similar accommodations

After breakfast, drive to Briksdal Glacier. Once there, travel via small motorized “Troll cars” and walk through the Norwegian scenery to the very snout of the glacier. Take out your camera - or maybe just take a mental snapshot! - as you savor the tranquillity and wonder of its blue ice. After the visit, enjoy some free time for lunch at your own discretion. After lunch, continue the journey through the lofty Norwegian mountains to the famous point of Dalsnibba, an observation point located 1,476 meters above sea level, with a spectacular view of the famous Geiranger Fjord. (Please note that the visit to Dalsnibba is subject to weather conditions). Afterwards, continue the journey down to Geiranger for check-in at our hotel. Dinner at the hotel. (B, D)

Geiranger

After breakfast, board a ferry to cross the powerful and ever-so-impressive UNESCO World Heritage Site of the Geiranger Fjord, situated amongst lush mountains and wild waterfalls. Travel from Geiranger to Hellesylt, during which it is impossible to not find inspiration in the beautiful, unspoiled landscape. After disembarking in Hellesylt, travel north to Trollstigen, or “Troll’s path”, one of the most dramatic and visited areas in Norway. Travel the 11 hairpin turns on this stunning stretch of road that winds its way along just over 100km of incredible landscape (weather permitting). Stop for lunch en-route (not included). In the late afternoon, arrive back at the hotel for dinner. (B, D)

Geiranger - Oslo

Deluxe Class: Hotel Continental or similar accommodations

After breakfast, depart for the capital, Oslo. Travel via Lom, where you can admire the oldest wooden church in Norway that dates from the 12th century (no entrance, only exterior). Continue via Otta to arrive in Oslo in the late afternoon and check-in at the hotel. (B)
