Jewels of Panama

Upon arrival in Panama City, you will be met and transferred to your hotel. The remainder of the evening is at your leisure.

Your tour beings with the Panama Canal, a magnificent feat of modern engineering and the greatest – and most expensive – human construction of the time. Watch the carefully constructed mechanics maneuver ships through the canal with ease before heading to the Amador Causeway, which offers one of the city’s most spectacular views. Later, stop at Mercado de Abasto, the city’s largest fresh produce market, where lunch will be served at one of the many authentic seafood restaurants in the market. Your tour of the city will end at the Old Quarter, an eclectic fusion of colonial, neoclassic and French architecture. (B,L)

Enjoy a full day at your leisure to explore the many different areas of Panama City. You may want to consider an optional excursion to Embera Quera, a small community located at the mouth of the Gatun River. Take a scenic boat ride through the jungle river to the village where the tribal Chief will welcome you with stories of tribe’s history and culture. After your visit, you’ll head to a small island inhabited by monkeys followed by a traditional lunch with folklore, dance and music. (B)

Early in the morning, you will be transferred to Albrook airport for your flight to David (ticket included). Upon arrival, you will be met and transferred to Boquete for the remainder of the day at your leisure. (B)

Spend a full day at your leisure exploring Boquete or consider an optional activity. We recommend considering a day in the panoramic hills of Boquete. Here you can explore the world of coffee plantations and indigenous tribes, followed by a coffee tasting and lunch. (B)

Following breakfast at your hotel, you will be transferred to Almirante where a boat will take you to Isla Colon in Bocas del Toro. The Bocas del Toro Islands lay west between Panama and Puerto Rico. The remainder of the day is at your leisure to relax on the beach and enjoy the transparent, tropical waters. (B)

Relax and unwind in this tropical paradise with a full day at your leisure. Lose yourself in island life, forget the time, forget the day and bask in the island sun. (B)

Bid farewell to your island paradise and take your transfer to the Isla Colon airport for your flight back to Panama City (ticket included). Upon arrival, you will be met and transferred to your hotel for the remainder of the day at your leisure. (B)

Enjoy a final Panamanian breakfast before being transferred to the airport for your return flight home. (B)
