Once inside, an expert guide will talk you through the bloody past of the amphitheater as you listen to tales of gladiators, mock sea-battles and executions. Proceed to the Palatine Hill, the most famous of the Seven Hills of Rome. The place where the emperors used to live, you will enjoy a stunning view of the Roman Forum and Circus Maximus. Strolling among these ancient ruins, you will feel like you've been transported to another world. The afternoon is at leisure. In the evening, consider joining a stroll around the Trastevere neighborhood followed by dinner.
