After a leisurely breakfast rolling through the Northern Cape, the morning is yours to enjoy at your own pace before the train arrives in Kimberley around midday. Following lunch on board, a guided tour of the Diamond Mine Museum and the legendary Big Hole awaits — one of the most compelling historical detours in all of Southern Africa. Kimberley's story is extraordinary: a city born almost overnight from the diamond rush of 1871, its ambition literally carved into the earth on a colossal scale. The Big Hole remains one of the largest hand-dug excavations ever made. Back on board as the afternoon light softens, a formal dinner brings another elegant evening to a close beneath wide Karoo skies.

The final morning brings a gentle, bittersweet rhythm as the train winds through the winelands of the Western Cape, the landscape softening and greening as the Atlantic draws near. Breakfast and a last lingering lunch are served as the city edges closer, the iconic silhouette of Table Mountain appearing on the horizon like a promise kept.
