Arrival & Reykjanes Peninsula
Welcome to Iceland! After you land at Keflavík Airport, pick up your car and head out to explore the Reykjanes Peninsula before checking in at your hotel. This area is the perfect introduction to Iceland, filled with lava fields, craters, rugged coastlines, and geothermal spots. Walk across the Bridge Between Continents, stop by the colourful mud pools in Krýsuvík, and see the steam rising at Gunnuhver. If you’d like to relax after your flight, you can also visit the Blue Lagoon today (alternatively, this can be scheduled on your last day). Overnight in the Keflavík area.

Snæfellsnes & Total Solar Eclipse
After breakfast, make your way to the beautiful Snæfellsnes Peninsula. This region has a little bit of everything: volcanic craters, black-sand beaches, dramatic sea cliffs, and the glacier-covered Snæfellsjökull volcano. Take your time exploring spots like Eldborg Crater, Arnarstapi, Djúpalónssandur Beach, and Snæfellsjökull National Park. In the late afternoon, get ready for the big event—the 2026 Total Solar Eclipse. Find your viewing spot and enjoy this rare moment as the sky darkens and the sun’s corona appears. After the eclipse, drive back to Reykjavík. Overnight in Reykjavík.

Golden Circle
Today is all about the Golden Circle, Iceland’s most famous route. Start at Þingvellir National Park, where you can literally walk between two continents. Continue to the Geysir hot spring area to see Strokkur erupt again and again, and then visit the impressive Gullfoss waterfall. If you love fresh food, make a stop at Friðheimar greenhouse for tomato soup and homemade bread. In the afternoon, you can also relax at the Secret Lagoon, Laugarvatn Fontana, or Laugarás Lagoon before returning to Reykjavík. Overnight in Reykjavík.

South Coast
Head out along the South Coast, known for its dramatic scenery. Visit the interactive LAVA Centre, then stop at two of Iceland’s most beautiful waterfalls: Seljalandsfoss and the mighty Skógafoss. Enjoy views of Mýrdalsjökull glacier, and if you’re feeling adventurous, you can join a glacier hike or kayak among floating ice on Sólheimajökull. Continue to Vík, where you can admire Dyrhólaey’s cliffs and Reynisfjara’s famous black-sand beach. Optional activities include ATV rides, horseback riding, or zip-lining. Return to Reykjavík in the evening. Overnight in Reykjavík.

Departure
Drive back to Keflavík Airport for your flight home. If you didn’t visit the Blue Lagoon earlier and have extra time, you can stop there on the way to the airport for one last relaxing moment. Return your car and say goodbye to Iceland.
