Taste of Latvia Escapade

Upon arrival, meet your driver for a private transfer to your selected hotel. The remainder of the day is yours at leisure.

This morning you will be picked up at your hotel by private guide for a walking tour of Old Riga, passing pedestrian Kalku Street with Livu Square and it’s medieval buildings, the Small and Great Guild Houses, Dome Cathedral, Stock exchange building, Blackheads House and St. Peter’s Church. Next, pass the Latvian National Opera House and city canal before ending the walking portion of your tour at the Freedom Monument. From here, you’ll continue by car to the Art Nouveau district, the Daugava River embankment and Riga Central Market before returning to your hotel. The remainder of the afternoon is yours at leisure. Your tour for this morning takes you through the stunning scenery of the Gauja National Park and the town of Sigulda. You will listen to the medieval Latvian legend of the Rose of Turaida and see the ruins of the Episcopal Castle and the Castle of the Knights of the Sword before you return to Riga. (B)

You will be picked up from your hotel and transferred to the airport or train station for your next destination. (B)
