Today, see the secrets of the Colosseum on this small-group tour that takes you into the amphitheater’s underground chambers, which are off-limits to most of the public each day. With a knowledgeable guide, you’ll skip the Colosseum’s long entrance line with priority admission, heading straight inside to see where wild animals were once held and stand where gladiators once stood. An expert guide will talk you through the bloody past of the amphitheater as you listen to tales of gladiators, mock sea-battles and executions. Then explore Palatine Hill, the most famous of the Seven Hills of Rome, and the ruins of the Roman Forum. Limited to just six people, this tour provides a more intimate experience.
