Travel to Finland and explore Rovaniemi, the capital of Finnish Lapland. Tour a local reindeer farm and learn all about the Lappish culture. Enjoy a reindeer sleigh ride through the forest before heading to a husky farm. Enjoy a slightly faster paced husky sleigh ride and then get cozy by the campfire with hot drinks to learn more about these fascinating dogs. Next, visit Santa Claus Village and meet Santa Clause himself. Send a postcard from Santa's Main Post Office and explore the souvenir shops. Finally, you'll join an excursion to the Ranua Wildlife Park, the northernmost zoo in the world. To enhance your travel experience, we suggest spending at least one night before and after your tour in the capital city of Helsinki.

Rovaniemi – Arrival

Upon arrival in Rovaniemi, make your own way to your hotel. The rest of the day is at leisure.

Rovaniemi – Thrill of Speed with Huskies

First Class: Original Sokos Hotel Vaakuna or similar accommodations

Friendly barks of the huskies welcome you to the local farm but as soon as the safari of dogs departs from the farm, the dogs quiet down and start to work. Enjoy the surrounding nature and the sledge ride in silence. Stop for a break in the wilderness and take photos. We drive two persons per team, but there is a possibility to change the driver along the way. The average length of the trail is 10 km, but the weather conditions and the skills of the participants may affect the length of the ride. (B)

Rovaniemi – Santa's Village

After breakfast, discover the secrets of Santa Claus and his trusted helpers! Meet Mr. Father Christmas himself, visit Santa’s Official Post Office, do some shopping and enjoy delicious lunch. After lunch, we head for the snowmobiles and drive to a local reindeer farm. Meet the reindeer, try a short reindeer sleigh ride, take part in a special “Crossing of the Arctic Circle” ceremony and after a splendid day we return back to the city by snowmobiles. Crossing the Arctic Circle Certificate is given to you as a gift at the end of the safari. (B)Note: Operated Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays

Rovaniemi – Self Guided visit to Northernmost Zoo

First Class: Original Sokos Hotel Vaakuna or similar accommodations

After breakfast, join an excursion to the Ranua Wildlife Park, the northernmost zoo in the world. The park is located about 50 miles from Rovaniemi. Enjoy a refreshing walk to see arctic animals in an authentic wilderness setting. Before returning to Rovaniemi, remember to visit local Fazer shop.(B) Note: Operated Mondays to Fridays
