San Francisco – Arrival

Welcome to San Francisco! Upon arrival at SFO Airport, you will pick up your rental car and drive into San Francisco. Before heading out for dinner, you may want to enjoy a cocktail at the View Lounge on the 39th floor of the San Francisco Marriott Marquis for amazing views of the city. Kick-off your California adventure with a walk through the famous streets of Chinatown and enjoy a one-of-a-kind dining experience.

San Francisco Food & Culture

Few cities boast an international culinary scene like San Francisco. Hop on one of the city’s iconic cable cars to explore the exciting sights and unforgettable neighborhoods of the city while sampling some of its best dishes. Don’t miss the famous Golden Gate Bridge, Ghiradelli Square (make sure to pick up some chocolate!), and the classic San Francisco view from atop the hill on Lombard Street. Top off your day with a seafood dinner at Fisherman’s Wharf, where you’ll encounter some famous local residents, the Pier 39 sea lions!

San Francisco - Monterey

Make your way to the famous Pacific Coast Highway for awe-inspiring views as you drive towards the picturesque coastal city of Monterey. Visit the world-famous Monterey Aquarium, stroll along the colorful Fisherman’s Wharf, browse the boutiques and galleries of historic Cannery Row, and enjoy fresh seafood at a local restaurant overlooking the bay.

Monterey - Santa Barbara

Onwards towards Carmel-by-the-Sea, you’ll pass the charming little town of Pacific Grove, then Pebble Beach as you journey along the famous 17-Mile Drive. Winding its way along the coast, 17-Mile Drive offers spectacular views of dramatic cliffs, towering cypresses, magnificent homes, and an array of wildlife. Experience authentic Californian charm in the quaint town of Carmel-by-the-sea as you explore its tranquil beaches, whimsical storybook houses, and fantastic boutiques. As you continue along Hwy 1 towards Santa Barbara, you may want to stop in one of the many charming coastal towns along the way. Enjoy the late afternoon sunset in beautiful Santa Barbara before heading out for dinner. ?

Santa Barbara - Los Angeles

Spend the morning exploring the charming Santa Barbara or wine tasting in nearby Santa Ynez, then continue to Los Angeles. Begin your Hollywood experience with a stroll down the Avenue of the Stars, then head to Santa Monica Pier to take in the lively atmosphere, enjoy a spectacular sunset, and savor a delicious meal in the fresh Pacific breeze. ?

Los Angeles - San Diego

After breakfast, we recommend you take a short drive up to see the Hollywood sign before leaving Los Angeles heading south towards San Diego. Along the way, you may wish to stop off and visit the exclusive resort town of La Jolla with its pristine beaches and incredible cliffside views, before arriving into San Diego. Spend a sun-drenched afternoon strolling along the Waterfront Walkway or the historic Gaslamp Quarter.

Explore San Diego today: see the world-famous San Diego Zoo, get active with water sports at Mission Bay Aquatic Park, tour the impressive USS Midway, or check out the many museums and gardens of Balboa Park. Foodies won’t want to miss the Liberty Public Market, a paradise of artisan food, beer, and wine producers. Or drive across the bridge to Coronado Island for a relaxing day of pristine white beaches and charming historic mansions. Finish up your California adventure with a sunset cruise in San Diego Bay or dinner at one of San Diego’s trendy restaurants featuring fresh farm-to-table fare.
