Stockholm The Ice Hotel and The Treehotel Multi City Vacation

Upon arrival in Stockholm, you will be met at the airport and transferred to your hotel. The rest of the day is at leisure. Stockholm has an abundance of charm, history and tradition. This trendy city will impress you with its interesting museums and castles. The city keeps its’ warm atmosphere apparent in the old town. Take time to explore the small and winding alleyways - the perfect area to find a suitable restaurant for the evening. 

After breakfast, the day is yours to continue exploring Stockholm. You may want to visit Gamla Stan – the Old Town, the Vasa Museum, the Skansen Open Air Museum, Kungliga Slottet – the Royal Palace, City Hall, Drottningholm Palace, the Östermalm Food Court, the Museum of Modern Art, and Kungsträdgården –  the City Park. After breakfast, spend a free morning in this delightful capital and continue ticking away at the suggested sights to visit. In the afternoon, board your overnight train to Kiruna. (B)

Upon arrival, you will be transferred to the world renowned Ice Hotel. The rest of your day is at leisure in this unique and breathtaking area. Tonight, you will overnight at the Ice Hotel in an ice room. The ice rooms are particularly comfortable – you will get a good night’s sleep at 23 degrees Fahrenheit. You will sleep in thermal sleeping bags on a special bed built of snow and ice, on top of reindeer skins.

This morning, you will be awakened with a cup of hot lingonberry juice at your bedside. Enjoy a breakfast buffet and morning sauna. Your day is at leisure to simply enjoy your surroundings or book an optional activity. Overnight at the Ice Hotel - warm accommodation. (B)

After breakfast, you will be transferred to the Kiruna train station and board a train for a 3-hour journey south. Travel through the wild and endless forests of Swedish Lappland. You will cross the Arctic Circle and travel through the World Heritage Site of Laponia which includes four national parks and two nature reserves stretching over an impressive 3,600 square miles of cultural wilderness where the Sami people have lived and worked since the Ice Age. Reach Boden, where you will be picked up and transferred to the Treehotel. The hotel is located in Harads, near the Lule river. The village has a population of about 600 and features a restaurant, shop, and guest house. Check in at Britta’s Pensionat and take a short stroll through the beautiful nature to your tree room. (B)

After breakfast at Britta’s Pensionat, the day is yours to enjoy the Treehotel. You can forget about everyday life, enjoy the serenity, and rejuvenate in a very special environment. You can also enjoy the magnificent surroundings. From the Treehotel’s rooms you have a fantastic view of the Lule River Valley, miles of forest, and the powerful river. (B)

After breakfast, you will be transferred to the Luleå airport for your return flight home. (B)
