Taste of Stockholm Escapade

Upon arrival, meet your driver for a private transfer to your selected hotel. The remainder of the day is yours at leisure.

Starting off in the Östermalm area, popularized by the rich and the famous, you'll be introduced to the traditions of Swedish gastronomy, from richly flavored and exquisite cheeses to hearty game meat. You'll have a red-carpet like immersion into the world of Swedish delights at the high end Östermalms Market Hall. Heading towards the heart of the city you will have the opportunity to indulge in a traditional Swedish lunch. Along the way you will be introduced to the crown jewel of the proud Nordic kitchen, the meatball! You will learn what types of potatoes to serve with the Swedish meatball, why there are specific jams for it and other fun facts. The tour will end in Old Town where you'll be treated to some traditional Nordic candies and sweets. (B, L)

Meet your guide at the hotel and get ready to enjoy the time capsule that is Drottningholm Palace and experience its historic milieu. The 17th century Palace was once the permanent residence of the royal family and one of Stockholm’s three World Heritage Sites. The day will continue with the famous Vasaa Museum, a true national treasure which offers a rich history from the 17th century, and a drink at the Ice Bar. (B)
