Ultimate Winter Wilderness Escape Small Group Journey

Upon arrival you will be transferred to your hotel. Later in the evening, you will gather with the rest of your safari group for a welcome dinner at a local restaurant. Overnight in Harriniva. (D)

After breakfast, your guide will drive you to the 100-year-old traditional reindeer farm, Torassieppi. Here you will have the chance to get a glimpse of early life in an old Lappish farmhouse. Your guide will tell you all about life with the reindeer and teach you how to throw the Lappish lasso yourself. At the end of the visit, you can test your reindeer driving skills on a reindeer safari through the forest. Lunch is served around an open fire and, in the afternoon, you will return to your hotel where a warm sauna awaits you. Enjoy dinner and overnight in Harriniva. (B,L,D)

Enjoy breakfast then speed things up a bit with today’s snowmobile adventure! After a safety briefing and driving instructions, it’s time to start your engines. Driving a snowmobile is surprisingly easy even for beginners and soon you will be gliding through the snow-covered forests and over the frozen lakes admiring the vast wilderness of Finnish Lapland. Lunch is prepared by an open fire in the wilderness then, in the afternoon, return to your hotel for a warm sauna and dinner. Overnight in Harriniva. (B,L,D)

Check out of your hotel after breakfast and pack your gear for a 2-day tour with an overnight in the Lappish wilderness. Your guide will take you to the Harriniva Arctic Sled Dog Center with over 400 huskies where you will hear all about the life of these arctic athletes. The husky guide will teach you how to handle the sled and introduce you to your own team of 4-5 dogs who will accompany you for the next two days. Lunch will be served around a fire on the trail and, in the afternoon, you will arrive at the wilderness cabin where you can test your skills by making a fir, feeding the huskies and warming the lakeside sauna. Depart your cabin in the morning to continue your safari through breathtaking arctic winter scenery. You will return to your hotel in the afternoon for check-in, a warm sauna and dinner. Overnight in Harriniva. (B,D)
