Experience the best of Australia, beginning in Sydney, Australia's largest and most famous city. Explore the historic Sydney Rocks before taking a cruise of Sydney Harbor. Head next to the outback, to Ayers Rock, also known as Uluru, a massive monolith in the heart of the desert. Learn about the significance of Uluru to the Aboriginal people before enjoying sunset with a glass of sparkling wine. Then head to Cairns; gateway to the Great Barrier Reef. You will visit the Daintree rainforest, a unique mangrove ecosystem learning about the different flora and fauna. You have a chance to stroll along the beach where the 'Rainforest meets the Reef'. You will also have a chance to visit the Great Barrier Reef for crystal clear water and incredible marine life.

Sydney – Arrival

Upon arrival, meet your driver for a private transfer to your hotel. The remainder of the day is at leisure to discover this great city and its bustling harbor.

Discover Sydney

Superior First Class: Parkroyal Darling Harbor or similar accommodations

Join your morning tour of Sydney. Visit the historic Rocks area and hear early convict history, enjoy magnificent views of the Opera House and Harbor Bridge. See the shopping heart of the city, Queen Victoria Building and Sydney Tower. Visit Sydney's trendy Oxford Street and travel through Paddington, with its terrace houses, before arriving at the Pacific Ocean. Travel on to the famous Bondi Beach and visit the promenade and enjoy Sydney's best panoramic view at Dover Heights. Return to Sydney via Double Bay, Kings Cross and Mrs. Macquarie's Point for a final magical look over the harbor. Tonight, take a dinner cruise for stunning views of Sydney Harbor while enjoying a three-course, a la carte dinner. After dinner, enjoy live music and dancing or star gaze from the open deck as the lights of Sydney twinkle in the distance. (B,D)

Explore Sydney

The majority of the day is at your leisure to explore Sydney. We recommend taking an optional excursion to the stunning and majestic Blue Mountains. From Echo Point, the closest and best view of the Three Sisters, you will be able to witness the blue haze and the vast expanse of the Jamison Valley and experience for yourself the raw magic the Blue Mountains create. Visit Scenic World, with your included Scenic World Ultimate Pass, allowing you to ride the Skyway, Railway and Cableway, followed by a beautiful walk in the rainforest. Visit the Katoomba Falls Cascade and take in the breathtaking views. Enjoy a hot lunch including a glass of beer, wine or soft drink before visiting Featherdale Wildlife Park to see some of Australia's native wildlife. Your trip to Sydney is not complete without a cruise on the Parramatta River to Sydney Harbor. You will sail under the Harbor Bridge and past the Opera House before disembarking at Circular Quay to return to your hotel. (B)

Sydney – Ayers Rock

Discover Ayers Rock

Get an early morning start and travel towards Uluru, its vast shape rising from the sand dunes in the early dawn light. Stop at a special location to watch the sunrise over this amazing monolith and enjoy a picnic breakfast. Travel to Mutitjulu Waterhole where you will learn the Creation stories of Liru, the poisonous snake, and Kuniya, the python. Later, drive around the base of Uluru while listening to the cultural stories of the Mala people before returning to the resort. (B)

Ayers Rock – Cairns

Discover Daintree National Park

Superior First Class: Novotel Cairns Oasis Resort or similar accommodations

Your naturalist guide will meet you at your hotel for a drive north along the Great Barrier Reef to the sugar industry town of Mossman. Take some time for a short morning tea break then it's "all aboard" for a wildlife river cruise. Ascend the Alexandra Range and pause for a panoramic view of the rainforest merging with the Coral Sea and the Great Barrier Reef. Experience the rainforest intimately on an elevated National Park Boardwalk as your guides share their advance knowledge of the flora and fauna. A delicious barbecue lunch with freshly prepared salads is served while you have the opportunity to hand feed a kangaroo and enjoy a cold drink from the bar (drinks not included). Travel beyond Cape Tribulation along the Bloomfield Track to pristine Emmagen Creek and take time for a refreshing rainforest freshwater swim and indulge in a taste testing of tropical fruit, a cup of traditional Billy Tea and damper. At Cape Tribulation Beach there is time to stroll along the beach and boardwalk to the photographers' platform overlooking the mountains and coast where the rainforest meets the reef. Cross the Daintree River by cable ferry and begin your homeward journey. (B,L)

Explore the Great Barrier Reef

Today is yours at leisure to explore Cairns. Alternatively, you may choose to take an optional cruise in the Great Barrier Reef. Transfer to Cairns Reef Fleet Terminal to check-in for your cruise and commence your full day sailing to Michaelmas Cay. Travel aboard a luxury sailing catamaran to Michaelmas Cay, which is a picturesque vegetated sand cay encircled by a superb fringing reef. The Cay is a National Park and a protected sanctuary for migratory seabirds. Enjoy a few hours on the Reef where you can choose from a range of activities including snorkelling, semi-submersible tours and guided beach walks. (B)

Cairns – Return

Enjoy a final Australian breakfast before taking the shuttle back to the airport for your return flight home. (B)
