Welcome to Venice! Upon arrival, you will be met and transferred to your hotel. The remainder of the day is free to explore the "Floating City".
Today, explore the historic and architectural wonders of Venice on your own or take one of the recommended private or small group optional tours. Delight in the palatial architecture of St. Mark’s Square, and enter the magnificent St. Mark’s Basilica to admire its famous mosaics. Seek out the Floating City’s most sought after sights on foot, including iconic landmarks the Rialto Bridge and the House of Marco Polo. Get a taste of local life at the Rialto Fish Market and explore historic neighborhoods like Cannaregio. Consider enjoying a memorable gondola ride while soaking up the scenery. In the afternoon consider joining a tour to Murano, Burano, and Torcello.
Venice – Florence
After breakfast, you will be transferred to the train station for your train to Florence. Upon arrival in Florence, you will be met and transferred to your hotel. The remainder of the day is at leisure in this Renaissance jewel.
Today, explore the historic and architectural wonders of Florence on your own or take one of the recommended private or small group optional tours. Florence’s museums, palaces, and churches house some of the greatest artistic treasures in the world. See major attractions that include Piazza della Republica, Piazza della Signoria, cross the landmark Ponte Vecchio bridge, then admire the opulent Pitti Palace and the legendary Duomo. After browsing the designer boutiques of Via Tornabuoni and the artist’s workshops of lively Oltrarno, consider joining the tour with a skip-the-line entrance to the Accademia museum to view Michelangelo's world-famous David sculpture. You may also enjoy an optional tour of the Uffizi Gallery.
Florence – Rome
After breakfast, you will be picked up from your hotel and transferred to the train station to board your train to Rome. Upon arrival, you will be met and transferred to your hotel. The remainder of the day is at leisure to explore the "Eternal City."
Today, you may want to make an early visit to the Vatican Museums to see the Sistine Chapel. We recommend to secure the skip-the line-access. Later, enjoy a walk through the streets of the capital on your own or join one of the recommended private or small group optional tours. Major attractions include the Piazza Navona, the Pantheon, the Spanish Steps, and the Trevi Fountain. Explore the ancient Rome that include the Colosseum and the Palatine Hill with a stunning view of the Roman Forum and Circus Maximus. Strolling among these ancient ruins will make you feel like you've been transported to another world.
Rome at Leisure
Enjoy a full day at leisure in Rome. Take advantage of shopping, dining, or join an optional sightseeing tour to the mighty ruins of Pompeii and the idyllic Amalfi Coast.
Rome – Departure
