1

Zagreb- Arrival

First Class: The Westin Zagreb or similar accommodations

Upon arrival, meet your driver for private transfer to your hotel. The remainder of the day is at leisure to explore the city and enjoy the Christmas lights.

2

Zagreb – Opatija

First Class: Amadria Park Grand hotel 4 Opatijska Cvijeta or similar accommodations

After breakfast meet your local guide for a sightseeing tour of Zagreb and check out the Christmas market the capital of Croatia has to offer. With a history dating back to 1094, there is much to see here. In the "Upper Town," snap photos of the stunning Cathedral of Mary's Assumption and Gothic Church of St. Mark. Next, visit the "Lower Town," featuring the charming main square of Jelacic. Continue to the coast and travel along the beautiful bay of Kvarner to its popular resort, Opatija. Upon arrival in Opatija, enjoy dinner at a local restaurant and check in to your hotel. (B, D)

Opatija – Pula – Rovinj – Motovun - Porec

Today, you will explore the Istria, often called the pearl of Northern Croatia. Visit the ancient town of Pula including the Roman amphitheatre, then the enchanting Motovun. The lovely architecture of this hilltop town is emblematic of the Istrian region. Enjoy walking around the narrow streets, hidden squares, and alleys. Enjoy late lunch here and sample a dish made with the local specialty, Istria truffles. This evening, settle into your hotel and explore Rovinj, a town of brightly painted buildings set against crystalline waters. (B,L)

Porec – Piran- Dekani- Postojna

First Class: Jama or similar accommodations

Start your day with a walking tour of Porec, a beautiful seaside town that hosts a number of Christmas events and celebrations, before continuing to Slovenian coastal city of Piran, known for its Venetian architecture and Italian flavor. Meet your local guide to enjoy a sightseeing tour of this beautiful town and stop by one of the local wineries to enjoy a wine tasting tour with snacks. (B)

Postojna - Ljubljana

First Class: Best Western Premier Hotel Slon or similar accommodations

Today, explore Postojna cave and its fantastic subterranean world by miniature electric train.  Continue to Predjama, a spectacular medieval castle perched dramatically on a soaring cliff. Enjoy a walking tour in Slovenia’s sophisticated capital Ljubljana, where you’ll visit the open-air Market and the famous Three Bridges that symbolize Slovenia as well as the Dragon bridge, Baroque Town Hall and Robba's Fountain. Enjoy a funicular ride up to the famous Ljubljana castle, overlooking the magnificent city decorated with Christmas lights. (B, D)

Ljubljana – Bled- Ljubljana

First Class: Best Western Premier Hotel Slon or similar accommodations

Spend the morning at leisure discovering the beauty of Ljubljana. At noon, meet your guide for a trip to Bled, beautifully set amidst the Julian Alps and explore Bled Castle, a picturesque medieval castle high on a precipice overlooking the lake. Enjoy lunch then an afternoon exploring the festive decorations, food, and drink of Bled’s Christmas market, known as the Bled Winter Fairytale. (B,L)

Ljubljana – Zagreb- Return

After breakfast, you will be transferred to the Airport to continue on your next destination. (B)
