Signature Croatia Split to Dubrovnik with Hvar

Starts in
Zagreb
Duration
8 Days
Route
Split, Hvar, Dubrovnik

Ancient Rome, Renaissance, Baroque, Gothic - Croatia is the love child of a mix of time periods and cultures, and boasts just as many fantastic natural phenomena as it does historical treasures. In between exploring countless gorgeous coastlines, you can swim through the eerily beautiful Green and Blue Caves, marvel at Roman monuments and romantic old towns, and taste world-renowned oysters plucked straight from a crystal blue bay. Discover the food that impressed Bono so much he asked for the chef’s number, visit innumerable UNESCO World Heritage Sites, and take a breather in a secluded island cove. If you didn’t arrive as a Croatiaphile, you will certainly leave as one.

Itinerary

Zagreb- Split - Arrival

Upon arrival in Zagreb, you will be transferred to your hotel in Split. The remainder of the day is at leisure.

Day

2

Split - Trogir - Split

Today, explore this medieval city at your pace and consider taking a trip to Trogir. Trogir is a picturesque town and UNESCO World Heritage Site where every stone is a monument. With jutting belfries, shambling streets, and antique central squares, Trogir’s street plan dates back to the Hellenistic and Roman periods.

Day

3

Split - Hvar

In the morning, catch a ferry to the beautiful island of Hvar and enjoy a self-guided day. Highlights of its port town include 13th-century walls, a hilltop fortress, and the main square anchored by the Renaissance-era Hvar Cathedral.

Day

4

Hvar

Spend the day at your day in leisure. We recommend a full day private boat excursion exploring the Green and Blue caves. You will begin by cruising between Hvar and the islets of Ravnik and Biševo before visiting the Green Cave, where you can swim and enjoy the emerald light show.

Day

5

Hvar – Dubrovnik

In the morning, catch the ferry to Dubrovnik. Upon arrival, make your way to your hotel. The remainder of the day is at leisure.

Day

6

Dubrovnik

Today, consider taking an optional private sightseeing tour to explore Dubrovnik, the Pearl of the Adriatic. Known locally as the City, a paradise on Earth, or Croatian Athens, its beauty, harmony, and cultural, artistic, and scientific significance are widely acclaimed. Historians regard Dubrovnik as a symbol of freedom, order, and harmony between desires and possibilities.

Day

7

Dubrovnik

Enjoy your final day in Dubrovnik seeking out hidden gems that have inspired so many poets, savor incredibly fresh seafood and other local specialties (we recommend the famous dessert rožata, a crème brûlée-like pudding infused with homemade rose liqueur)

Day

8

Dubrovnik - Return

In the morning, you will be transferred to Dubrovnik Airport to continue on your next destination.
